My fiancé and I have stayed at the Apsenti twice now - in fact it was on our last visit that we became engaged! The setting is peaceful and romantic and yet only a short journey into Mykonos Town itself. The staff are welcoming and helpful but also keep their distance to allow you to feel a chilled-out sense of privacy.

Rooms are great boasting all necessary amenities and the welcome drink and pastries on arrival are always well-received! Breakfast is a relaxed and delicious affair by the pool - although I must admit that on our second stay we missed the fresh omlettes that were made to order for us on our first visit. However, nothing seemed to be too much trouble so maybe if we had asked nicely...

It's a romantic and laid-back environment - we LOVE to spend tranquil evenings sipping a glass of wine on our terrace before heading out for dinner. Should also mention that we had a very atmospheric dinner (booked in advance) at Apsenti one evening. We were treated like a king and queen and the food was superb.

We've been twice before and are now scheduled to stay for part of our honeymoon - this is a testament to how we feel about the place...simply a little slice of heaven! :-)

There is only one word to describe this hotel and that is EXCELLENT. From the moment we arrived to the day that we left nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. They were helpful, approachable and above all extremely friendly. The hotel is perfectly designed for couples who want peace and quiet with a swimming pool to relax around and many secluded seating areas.

It is within walking distance of Mykonos town as well as a beach with two restaurant/bars, one of which featured in the motion picture "Shirley Valentine".

I would certainly recommend this hotel to honeymoon couples or couples who want to put some magic back into a relationship.

Positive: Cozy, romantic, charming, nice, clean, unique style, couples orientated, very discreet stuff.
Negative: Really noisy Jacuzzis (smt should be done about this!) with cold water since it gets warmed up by the sun. Breakfast could be richer. Pool was small but very clean. Somehow expensive (but Mykonos is expensive anyway) .

When you arrive at the airport, the apsenti driver is waiting and you never have to touc your suitcases again until you get to your room. you are shown to the reception where this lovely lady called Lambrini introduces herself and sits you down with a sweet glass of wine and some pastries. she tells you about the beaches and buses and answers any little questions you have about your stay. She then escorts you round the complex and then to your room, giving you all the ins and outs of its little cosys bits, then she leaves you alone to unpack. the Heavenly suite was super, we thought the bed up against the wall would be awkward, but it turned out to be fantastic,. We had a day bed downstairs, which allowed us to bring all the huge pillows up and place them on the bed, making it all soft and cosy. The bathroom was fun, filling it each night and having a fun bath with the water spilling over the sides falling upon pebbles surrounding the bath was great,. the stones on the floor became a bit of a pain after a couple of days, but wearig the provided slippers as you walked into the bathroom helped, stones in the shower was a little uncomfortable, but it did not stop me showering 4 times a day. The breakfasts was good, available from 7:30 till 12:00, but most days it went on till the last person was fed. The jaquozi on the open balconey was great at the end of each day, temp was hot hot hot and the pool was so cool....walking about naked with nobody seeing you was also a fab feeling. Beddign was changed every day for fresh cool cotton sheets. Nona the maid tidied up the room every morning so you felt like you ame back to a new room every night, but if you never left the room, she never bothered you untill you had gone out, no matter what time. Ganne was also veru helpfull in the resturant and the eveninf was covered by Hcyrsa who always seemed to be in love with her boyfriend and loved telling us what she was planning to do after her shift, she also helped with booking of any resturant you chose or that she could recommend. The hotel pool is a fresh water pool, day beds had fresh towels laid uopn them, and nothing was a problem for the staff. I had asked for a special brand of champagne to be placed in the room upon arrival and it was there, with 2 chilled glasses. The highlight was the Oriental Spa, what a fantastic thing, we were escorted to the spa, given a glass of wine and told that we could use the steam room, jaquozi and then shower before Lambini came back to give us both a relaxing oil massage and she was so good , then she left us to relax and enjoy each others company while sitting with our feet in a warm foot bath...we didnt wantto leave, shame we waited till our last night for this treatment. This hotel has got to be tried to be beleived, never having been to this type of couples only hotel i felt it would not meet my expectations, but it exceeded them and i cannot wait to book it again. The staff are great and all the emails between myself and the owner where answered within hours and nothign i asked wasa problem. One ou last day we were taken by the driver back to the airport which was a nice quick serivice. The only thing about this holiday was that prices on the island are so expensive, a bottle of mythos beer in the supermarket is €2.90, the same bottle in the Veranda bar was €7. A cocktail in all bars are priced between €10 and €13. Hargen Das ice cream was €8 a tub, everthing is very expensive so be carefull., I will post some pictures this week.......book it and enjoy it...

Wow - was my first impression. This hotel was super romantic; the staff was willing to help and never seemed inconvenienced. The first thing was that the hotel sends a taxi to pick you up - at no charge to you. And the same driver takes you to the airport when you are ready to leave. Once you arrive, you are given a welcome drink and sat down to discuss the local amenities. Then you are taken to your room where your bags are waiting. Get this - each room has there own outdoor, PRIVATE jacuzzi, and outdoor hammock with curtains. The view we had was deemed the best - Room 2 (Queen section) - which oversaw the sea. There is no restaurant, but breakfast is available from 7:30am- noon. So there is no rush to wake up early in case you miss breakfast. The bus into the central area of town is right outside of the hotel and runs every half an hour. For 1.40 euros, it's fast and convenient. The buses stop running at about 1:30am, but you can grab a taxi for about 6.30 euros. There are so many hotels close to the "downtown" area, but this hotel is still close enough without having to bother with the noise. The beach is walking distance down a hill (about 15 minutes). Coming back up is a little bit of a challenge if it's hot. But what a beach. The sand is not white, but the water is super clean. We were told that this was the best beach. There are two restaurants on the beach that serve superb food. There is no watersports on this particular beach, but you can always grab a taxi to another beach if that's what you are into. The hotel room is small, but very doable, and very clean, and romantic with robes for each person and new slippers. My only disappointment is that the wi-fi never worked in our room, so we had to go into the lobby which also was tempermental. But I guess that's why it's a couple's resort - you are not supposed to be bothering with work!
