Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort
Certificate of Excellence

From the minute we were greeted in the lobby we were very impressed with the level of personal service you have at the Mykonos Grand. This is a place to spoil you perfectly. The rooms are so well done with shears hanging from the ceiling to the floor around the bed to the big bathtub right in the middle of the bathroom. The hints of a stream flow through the bathroom floor leading you to a very comfortable shower. The balcony view with a sunset ever night is like no other, a perfect beach. Give the staff at Mykonos Grand the opportunity to handle your every whim; you don’t need to worry about a thing. My hat’s off to the entire staff there for making it a place we will return to again and again.

I have been to 5-star hotels with much bigger rooms. With much longer wine lists. With much longer beaches.

But I have never been to a 5-star hotel with such friendly and efficient service. With such light culinary delights on the halfboard regimen. With such appeasing and relaxed atmosphere in the surroundings of the night-crazed Mykonos. With such beautiful sea views. Just name it.

Our family stay there was a truly remarkable experience. The hotel is certainly not cost-saving on staff, the annoyingly growing eperience in the times of crisis. House cleaning was perfect without anybody ever knocking on our doors. Waiters without a single exception speak good English, majority also either Italian or German (several both). Their friendliness and occasional little jokes make your moon&candle lit dinners pass all too quickly. Impeccable service at the tables and both at the pool and the beach. Very good cuisine with a few well chosen Greek wines to match. I must say I later nearly regretted going to Matsuhisa restaurant in the town one evening rather than staying in the hotel and enjoying the chef's delightful dishes. Breakfast more than satisfactory, with an amiable French mousseux nicely accompanying the mostly international, but also local dishes.

I am a fervent enemy of the individuals who »reserve« sunchairs on the beach by throwing towels upon them early in the morning, and then »keep« them solely for the one-and-a-half hour's tanning routine some time later during the day. They then repeat the reservation procedure at the pool to have a secondary position close to the restaurant; and finally take a bus to town, possibly returning in the evening. In nearly all seaside hotels I have been to, the personnel is constantly losing battle with such annoying egotists, and a normal subject coming down close to noon is very unlikeley to get four or even two sunchairs close together, though 80% of all are »reserved« and unoccupied. Not that such abominable creatures were avoiding this place, far from that. But still, anytime we got to our daily target, beach or pool, we found available chairs. Perfect capacity planning.

Screaming kids ruining your holidays? Well, not here. There were several children, nearly all above 10 and all behaving the way they should. Commendable.

It is always the people that make a hotel. If there were no Theodore Daktylidis, the Assistant Manager, the hotel would have to invent one. Always kindly inquiring about your needs, crticisms, suggestions, always solving issues on the spot and in a minute, while at the same time helping the staff take orders and clean the tables… He and his brother are the perfect team, so it is not all that hard for the hotel to be as close to perfection as it gets.

There were of course some minor points where things could be even better (overpriced basic level champagne could be quickly remedied, the very short beach unfortunately not). However, we have never been more satisfied on our family summer holidays. And we do have some mileage, as the children are 25 and 18… Will be back, the parents at least!

What a wonderful resort! The rooms were spacious & luxurious. The owners & staff were fantastic. They really went out of their way to ensure that each guest was looked after. My family and I have stayed at many 5 star hotels but nothing has come close to the level of service we received here. Can't wait to go back there again.

We stayed here in July and the service was superb, the hotel itself is beautiful with a fabulous pool and private beach. I travel to Asia a lot and I always think the service you get at the hotels in Asia is the best in the world. I can happily say that Mykonos Grand has equally as good a service. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel and would go back.

This is a first for us - since we are traveling the first time for us to return to the same property.. - always looking for something new....

The grand`s USP ? Let alone the great setting, the lovely rooms, the little details - it`s the dedication and the genuine care of their staff - and as always - leadership starts at the top with the 2 brothers running the place with perfection... just 3 little stories...

- Bad expirience with rental car & agency ... - good advice given & sorted in no time ...
- Tummy bug in the morning - remedy placed on table without even asking for it ,...
- Taxi situation crazy in Mykonos - the reception team never failed to organize all the transport with perfection..

The whole team understands the real meaning of service at&for their guests - hospitality industry they call it somewhere else ...

Thank you grand - you provided a fantastic stay, pure bliss - and you probably have us hooked ......
