This is a lovely little cottage with everything you need. Only across the courtyard to the crown pub on the high street. We will defiantly book this cottage again easy to book and Joanne the owner was very friendly and helpful with the questions I had.
We had booked The Stables for a long weekend as we had some business in Harrogate and also intended to do some walking. The property is part of a courtyard development but what the marketing doesn't tell you is that the courtyard is also the beer garden for the hotel and also the smoking area for the same. This means that it can be quite noisy at night and the smell of cigarette smoke is not too pleasant in the bedrooms if you have the window open. The ground floor of the property is very small (sitting room/kitchen/diner all in one) - very dark especially as one of the lightbulbs was not working. We went to use the cooker only to find the oven shelf very dirty and sticky - we ate out for the rest of the weekend (not something we had budgeted for). One of the heaters was not working and the room was quite cold when we arrived - we eventually managed to get one of the heaters working. Upstairs is more spacious but there is limited storage space. We also found that one of the bedroom doors wouldn't shut and the bathroom door would not shut. There was also mould around the bath/shower and the shower screen looked grimy. There was no washing machine - luckily the weather was good so we did not need to wash our walking kit. We were also surprised to find nothing available with which to wash dishes and no hand soaps either in the kitchen area or in the bathroom - something that tends to come as standard in all the other properties we have rented.
We have always holidayed in self catering cottages and have had some excellent properties that we have booked for a week for just a little more than we were charged for 4 days at The Stables. We loved Pateley Bridge but would not stay at The Stables again.

The apartment is in an excellent situation - friendly pub next door, supermarket very close, great walks and places to explore nearby. It is clean, comfortable and very well presented. My only criticism is that , when compared to rentals from Air BnB, some of the essentials for stay were missing- dishwashing liquid, soaps.
Great place to visit would recommend to anyone great great great great great great great great great great great great great great
No 5 The Stables is part of a courtyard development just behind the High Street. The location is perfect - just a few seconds walk to the pub (The Crown) and the shops. The property is quite cosy downstairs but the upstairs is spacious. It is very clean, comfortable and well furnished. We visited in December and it had been nicely decorated for Christmas. We ate out but it seemed to have everything you need if you want to cater for yourself.
