This hotel is just below average for many reasons.
The food is OK, the rooms were a little dirty and definitely overused.
Oh, and then we got stuck with no AC. I was dying at night. They kept saying that we were in the mountains and there was no need for AC, but it was hot.
I kind of expected it, my wife did not.
This is the typical hotel where there is a lot of rotation.
One thing I enjoyed is the kids working there for the kids entertainment. They were nice and full of energy.
We then realized another place, called Cristiania hotel, but it was too late to switch. That is more of a boutique hotel. They only have aout 8-10 rooms. The owner is kind of funny but a little bit of a "throwback". He does use a computer and he takes reservation only via fax or personally. Nice guy, great looking place but hard to get a reservation and he will NOT take advice for a website.
We then moved to Palazzo Tour d'Eau and the Abruzzo Cibus Culinary tour. That was a much higher standard and a little more expensive. That is what we were looking for. A boutique hotel, with tons of services. I loved the cooking classes and we did an afternoon "excursion" (that's how they call it). We visited a salami maker and an olive grove. Very cool.
