This place has a very cold-war-like feel to it. Some of the staff and rooms feel like they belong somewhere in Eastern Europe. If you require the convenience of a hairdryer or iron then you'll need to wait in line at the front desk with the rest of the proletariat. If you're looking for the luxury of a full night's rest, then you might want to look elsewhere. The combination of thin walls and screaming children running wild all night won't create a conducive environment for sleeping. Overall, it's clean and serviceable, but not very warm or freindly.
Some advice to staff and management; Since many of your guests are visiting Newgrange from outside of the UK and may not be aware of the complicated process of having to purchase tickets at Newgrange's visitor center and then take a bus from there to the actual site, I'm sure many guests would appreciate some kind of information or even a heads-up upon check-out. That would have saved us about half a day of driving around the Boyne valley trying to figure out how to visit the Newgrange monument.More
