We have visited the stack on a few occasions and we have also had a wonderful meal.
Excellent food and very reasonable prices, and an extensive menu for an establishment of this size. A few extra touches needed to earn a five star rating but highly recommend a visit to anyone who has not visited this slightly hidden delight.

We visited on Sat 11th we were shown to table the waiter threw down menus never spoke and left before we were seated. Food was great although we waited 45min for starter which was cold. Food was lovely service was very poor. Waiters need more training . We had to ask for more drinks we had to ask for bread then no choice of brown or white just dumped on plate.
No explanation for delays no interaction but in fairness they were short staffed or so it seemed.
Service lets this restaurant down as food is lovely .

Never been here before, but decided to give it a try in a party of four on a Saturday evening. It's not big, but is nicely decorated in a king of retro 70s style. The main event - the food - was excellent! I had the calamari followed by the burger and really enjoyed both, and from the appreciative noises from the rest of the party, they were equally content.

However, there are a couple of things that make this less than a 5 star review. The main thing was the service. I know times are tight, but the restaurant seems to be trying to run with one (or even 2) staff too few. When we arrived, we sat down in the bar area and nobody came near us to see who we were or take a drinks order for over 10 minutes. Then when we were acknowledged, seated and had ordered, the starters took around 45 minutes to arrive. However, the mains took considerably less time to arrive.

Other small niggles were that the restaurant could have been a tad warmer, as could have been the serving plates.

All that having been said, the two table staff we saw did their best and were cheerful enough, and as mentioned above, the food was very good.

Maybe just a night when they had been let down by staff not turning up, but overall, a pretty nice experience.

The restaurant itself is located in a housing estate in a small village. The menu is varied and the quality is good. The restaurant is cold and there is no atmosphere. One member of staff was on the restaurant floor serving all the tables, so we had to wait awhile before we were acknowledged it was alright, but lacking in "connect with the customer skills"

Took tour guests for lunch and the food was amazing, the taste, the visuals. Salmon, crab pastry, soup, steak, mussels and scallops not to mention the to die for vegetables.
