Always passed this place when staying at Caravan site and thought we should pay it a visit.
We each had soup and sandwich - about £7 each.
The bowls of soup, lucky if it was a ladle each. Sandwich were not very attractive on plate. Husband had Coronation chicken, should have been called chicken with a bit oh curry powder and mayonnaise, very little taste.
I had cheese and onion, couldn't go far wrong there, filling messy over the plate.
Prime location at seafront, rich picking for perhaps not repeat visitors.
Really nice staff.
Back to Molly's for us!

Had coffee here but after looking at the scones and cakes on display, wished had not got lunch waiting for us at home. The waitresses were very efficient and attentive.

Will definitely return soon and sample one of the deliciouslooking cakes or scones.

I have been here several times over the last 9 months since my baby was born. There seems to always be a problem every time we go. On my most recent visit, I had lunch with three friends and their babies. We finished lunch and decided to take them to the children's play area for a little while. We were pounced on and asked to vacate the table because she didn't want to turn any other customers away. We had been there less than an hour but did as we were asked. The table stayed empty the whole time we played with the little ones. Pointless!

If you're looking for a warm welcome, friendly service and good coffee this is not the place to visit. You get the exact opposite of all of these things especially if you dare to enter the premises with a small child. I have visited this cafe quite a few times since moving to Stonehaven so have given it plenty chance to redeem itself but unfortunately it only seems to get worse. The owner is INCREDIBLY rude. I didn't even finish my coffee today before we were being ushered out by her because she was having to 'turn away customers' while we were sat at a table. We had only been in half an hour and had bought lunch. The waitress barely made eye contact while taking our order too and it often feels like they roll their eyes when customers walk through the door.

We were looking for somewhere in Stonehaven to have lunch that had outside seating as we had the family dog with us. This place had a nice seating area in the sun and a children's play area, a bonus for the grandchildren. When we ordered the waitress seemed a bit alarmed that we wanted to eat outside, we later discovered from the only brave waitress to bring us our food, that they have a problem with seagulls and one in particular who is not adverse to stealing food out of peoples hands. Fortunately for us we were a large group and he left us alone. The food was delicious and the waitress deserves a pay rise for what she has to put up with. There are plenty of tables inside if you don't happen to have a four legged friend with you.
