3rd time to Jamaica...1st time at the Palladium...and we will be back. What a great vacation. Our previous two trips were to Sandals. In our opinion...if this hotel had a long beach, it would be a 6 Star. We have travelled to seven other tropical spots, several times over.
Quick and organized at the airport. Short drive to the resort. What a beautiful sight when we got there with large colonial pillars, water fountains and fish in the huge lobby. A great junior suite with a king bed, sitting area, tub and shower. Third floor was a good idea as we ate way to much. We booked Imperial so we got a few perks which was a nice treat. We dined at all the restaurants with no complaints about any food including the buffet. YES...we tipped...all the time morning and night...because the staff deserved it and we were treated great and we always treated the staff with "Respect'. The pool was huge and places for everyone, young and old...swim up bar, beds in the water, shallow entry for children, water aerobics, pool volleyball, aqua cycles and jet pool. All of the staff works very hard and long hours...and yet they were always smiling and singing. We went on some tours and found them to be at a good value...being our third time in Jamaica, we still found more to explore of the beautiful country. Deep tissue massage at the Spa had us near tears, but exactly what we needed.
My husband(52) and myself(46) are not the type to complain...we are on vacation and just take things as they come, be spontaneous and have the best time in the tropics away from the brutal Canadian cold.
Our first night was Friday and "Jamaican Night" of course to the Infinity bar we went. To our surprise we saw the happiest bartenders we have ever seen at any resort. Smiling, singing dancing, flipping bottles...we went every night after that. Hello to all our friends...we miss you all...Sean, Carrie, Kevon, Chavoy, and or course Michael Spence(Happy Feet)and all our "Buddies" at the bar.
We had a FABULOUS vacation and so much FUN with the activities provided by the POP staff.
Every day there was yet another game to partake in... drinking games, bingo, trivia, belly flop, cannon ball, volleyball, darts, dancing, patwa class, nightly shows...we did it all...never a dull moment. Thank you POP friends for so much fun...we hope to see you all soon---Princess, Sunshine, Happy, Zena, Alicia, Kitty Twa, Weazy, Pitbull, Tugg-Ras, Spoon, Triple X.
Also many more... Avagaye(towles), Kenisha(tours), Petula(spa), Alvin(Chukka tours), Brenda(security), Sean(coconuts/gardens, Junior/Paul/Kelly(Lifeguards), Roy Lawrence/Andrea(La Brisas), Pinook(photos), Sharon(maid).
