A little dated but OK hotel in the middle of Izu. Staff pleasant and helpful, picking us up from the bus stop and dropping us off to local attractions at no charge. Swimming pool is small, onsen fine - one small onsen, one cold pool and an outside onsen (male, assume female is similar). You can book a private onsen / hottub for 2,000 yen - this is in one of the guest rooms so presumably only when empty...
Rooms are tatami / western combined, they ask you only to use the beds or the futon, not both.
Breakfast and dinner were fine, fish / sashimi / crab etc, typical small Japanese hotel fare. 7,500 yen per person with breakfast and dinner so very good value for money.More
