Reading a magazine “Room” in Bangkok at Starbucks, I came across the article about this restaurant: by design, by chef’s creativity, and by accident. Located in the outskirt of city of Ching Mai, and I was on my way there this afternoon, so I quickly searched for address and added to my list of explorations.
Greeted by the owner who waited at my table. A set menu for 990 Bahts, or slight under $30, there were about 15 or so dishes on the menu. Small bite, but OMG, I was full when it came to the last dish! I ordered an Australian chardonnay for my food since it was the only choice on ‘by glass’list.

The food was nothing Thai as you expect to taste, no curry and no chili pepper. As for the taste of the food, I give it 3.9 out of 5, I undoubtedly give 5 out of 5 for setting and creativity! Service was excellent, with smile, friendly Thai culture. I could not ask for more on that note!

Check it out when you are in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Make reservations. Find a way there and back. Go. Eat. Enjoy. When we made reservations we told them that one person doesn't eat seafood and they were able to easily change that person's dishes. It's a special treat kind of place; one prix fixe menu, 14 courses and a wonderful journey.

12 course degustaion, including last 3, desserts.

The time & thought in each dish is much apparent & the chefs have come up with some most interesting & tasty creations.

Starting with a chocolate coated dish, that explodes flavour into ones mouth & finishing with a frozen ice, which causes much humour, as the dry ice mist comes out nose & mouth.

at about $AUD50 per head. plus drinks, it is on the expensive side for Chiang Mai. Having said that it is about 1/6th the price one pays in a comparable western country.

The food, not in the league of Vue de Monde, but that is one of the worlds top "foodie" restaurants, but speaking fairly, Cuisine de Garden is not far behind.

If you are into food, give this a try. Very pleasant experience.

We had a 12 course tasting menu dinner at Cuisine de Garden and it was definitely something to remember! The dishes were amazingly creative and beautifully presented. The host/waitress was very kind and attentive and the whole experience was super unique and special. They can also adjust the menu for vegans/vegetarians upon request.

Cuisine De Garden was one of the best Thai fusion cuisine I ever had. The meal was over my expectations, stunning flavours and preparation with exquisite presentation.

The price is inexpensive when compare with the same fusion food category. Although wine selection isn’t large but it’s over expectation with the quality of the wine Cuisine De Garden provides.

The Resturant is nicely decorated with the right lighting and very spacious in between table.

The only minus point is the location of the restaurant is a bit far and away from centre of Chiang Mai. Luckily we hired a full day driver in Chiang Mai to take us around, just 1500 thb per day + gas.
