Cuisine De Garden was one of the best Thai fusion cuisine I ever had. The meal was over my expectations, stunning flavours and preparation with exquisite presentation.

The price is inexpensive when compare with the same fusion food category. Although wine selection isn’t large but it’s over expectation with the quality of the wine Cuisine De Garden provides.

The Resturant is nicely decorated with the right lighting and very spacious in between table.

The only minus point is the location of the restaurant is a bit far and away from centre of Chiang Mai. Luckily we hired a full day driver in Chiang Mai to take us around, just 1500 thb per day + gas.

Was hearing about these restaurant a long time back, got the time to visit.
everything was outstanding, friendly owner, professional service and excellent food.
Food flavourful and high quality.

We’ve been hearing great things about Cuisine De Gardin and tonight my Mother and I had dinner there. Everything was outstanding. Extremely flavorful and high-quality. What stood out the most was The Nest which is a soft boiled egg over a fried rice noodle nest. Extremely flavorful and the presentation was gorgeous. We got the tasting menu and look forward to coming back when they have ala carte options.
My only complaint was that the Virgin martini tasted just like sprite. I don’t recommend getting it. Everything else was tremendous!

In general is good quality of food. The service is not bad. The concept is gastronomy which i am not really enjoy. Can try but not often. It is a bit pricey. The the decoration is nicely done. Location is far from chinagmai old town.

I was gearing up for this dinner. The last time i visited Chiangmai was almost 3 years ago. Finally made this reservation a week ago via their website and mentioned we would opt for the chefs tasting menu.
I was really looking forward, even paired with some very special wines we brought along. But all in all was a great disappointment. We had to conduct our own wine service with only 1 decanter available . Service staff was inexperienced and lacked the skill and know -how. They just served what was necessary through out the whole dinner procession - As if they were "doing their job". Of the 10 dishes we had, most dishes were unfinished. Started off with-a "sphere of yogurt"-basically tasted like how yogurt tasted in a edible transparent shell., moving on with a nitro berry foam(which was replicated again for dessert but in a larger form)-it burnt my son's tongue and his wife's as well. Tasted of nothing. Definitely passé.
Next up was a prawn in a shell with prawn powder(prawn something that was dehydrated and pounded to a soil like texture)which was pleasant at best. A tako cracker was up next. Followed suit was a salmon tartare with ikura and verde sauce was what was thought to be a salvation for the first few snacks we had. Moving along was the best dish of the night, scallops with a cold cappellini--pasta was cooked perfectly with a great texture of shashimi grade scallops. But everything went crashing downhill from here on, a sinewy beef tartar with a gritty "charcoal" soil proved to be a weird combination whilst seasoning was competent.
The worst dish of the night-poorly executed seared foie gras which was overcooked and textured was powdery and unpalatable. Paired with a strawberry sponge and Chiangmai strawberries which were out of season. We could not finish this dish but we expected the service to at least question why.
Next up was the onsen egg with crispy nest and chicken floss. A competent dish, but not something we could forgive baring in mind the 1800bht+ p/pax price tag. Main course was a pure text book style sous vide lamb chop and local vegetables at the size of your thumb. We capped off the night with more nitro berry foam topped with raw, ultra sour mulberries.
All in all, nothing this restaurant, the service and kitchen did to salvage this disappointing experience from start to finish. We paid a total bill of 9000bht, which felt like a overpriced, overly pretentious "molecular", Instagram friendly restaurant. We really wanted this meal to be good but they just did not deliver.
The location is a bit out of the the way, about 30mins from Chiangmai city. But given this experience i would not recommend to travel this extent. Especially when perceiving of having a great dinner night out.
We were later told that the chef was out of town . Then why risk a tasting menu.
