We visit the bridge inn every year during our holiday to Amberley, and it's always amazing! The macaroni cheese is absolutely the best and we literally look forward to it every year. Really nice pub atmosphere and the location is lovely, right by the river Arun. Looking forward to coming back again!

Went for a late lunch on Sunday having booked in advance. Never been before although our friends who live locally had been in for a drink. It turned out to be a great decision. The service was excellent. Every one of the waitresses were superb. Never in your face but always there when needed. One of our party is a fussy eater and we've never seen him clear his plate and have a dessert as well. Very sensibly priced. Even the chef came out to say hello. Would we go back. Absolutely without a doubt.

The food was really good, and they've got an interesting menu (it was difficult to choose!). Nice outside space (although sort of in the car park, it's still nice, and quiet). The friendliness of the staff was what really made our meal though. Will definitely come back.

We decided to go here as we had read some wonderful reviews but we were left extremely disappointed. One of us had the fish and chips and this was full of bones! The steak was chewy and really difficult to cut. Both dishes was overloaded with chips. No one came and asked us was everything ok. Dog poo in the garden. Had to wait a while to use the ladies as only one toilet. The only positive was the staff behind the bar were nice when we placed our order.

We were walking from Arundel to Amberley via a protracted overgrown route do when we arrived 10 minutes after our booked time it was a welcom resting point. The Sunday lunch offering was very delicious indeed, I had the roast beef (served pink) together with veg and roasties and my friend had the roast pork. The meat was plentiful on both plates which were brought quickly to the table and were served with red hot plates.....makes a change as so many places serve hot food on cold plates.
My only gripe were the potatoes had obviously been sat as they had that stale taste to them.
There was a regular inflow of people to the pub but the way the bar is squatted everyone ends up queueing in a line out of the door which was making life very difficult for the waitresses as it was a lovely Sunday afternoon do many eaters were sitting outdoors.
Would I come again? Of course this is already my third time!!
It is more prices than most for Sunday lunch but well worth it.
