I will definitely visit again!! It was a wonderful family holiday for us, after a few months of all work no play, we decided to take a trip to Kumbakonam and stayed here on the recommendation of a friend Though our purpose was not a temple tour we did go to Darasuram and Tanjore Brahadeeswarar temple. We were pampered in the resort right from the welcome foot massage to the last meal we enjoyed there the food deserves special mention it taste was Excellent, I recommend the adai aviyal and the wide varieties of dosas' the Chef makes them to taste ! The children loved the pool and we enjoyed the natural setting. A sure recommend !!

Room tip: get one in between the pool and the restaurant !

We stayed here for a couple of days immediately after pongal festival ...this time along with brother and sister in law as well.

My son enjoyed again..he remembered the old grandfather chair placed at the entrance to the chalet block.

Fed the bullock ,,, he was very accommodating !!!...

Really impressed by the metal works .Thank you again to Mr. Immanuel the therapist for going the extra mile yet again to treat my mother.

Room tip: Choose the row houses located at the far end if the water in the river is flowing / when travelling as a group only.

Dear Sir,

Indeed its a great feel when a guest of ours likes our property and appreciates every facet of it.

Truly a great feel thank you so much that you liked our property and yes many of our guests relate our property to their grandfathers place in a village and we are happy to know that your son remembered the old grand father Chair.

Many thanks again and look forward to having with you yet another time

My check-in: A relaxing foot massage during check-in.

Welcoming lawns with ducks and geese roaming around.

Exquisite furniture and lovely view.

One of the 3 " Great living Chola temples ", which is the Airavateswarar Temple at Darasuram is very near this resort.

Helpful staff and what I liked the most was that they prepared my itinerary for the Navagarha agrapha temple visits.

The reason I visited Kumbakonam was to visit these exquisite locations and Paradise resort truly serves this purpose by providing a central location, excellent living and helpful staff.

I would highly recommend this resort for anyone visiting Kumbakonam.

Room tip: If you want to visit temples this is the place to be.

excellent location and antique finish, but very poor maintenance. swimming pool very dirty and water is stinking. House keeping very bad. other staff attitude also very poor. There was dust every corner, dinning, hall, reception, corridor

Room tip: check if they have renovated, now as it is not good.

It took us about six hours to drive to Paradise resort from Chennai. We were welcomed with a relaxing foot massage. This was so welcome after the long drive!

The resort is in two parts. One portion contains all the rooms that are furnished with antique furniture, doorways and artefacts from the old Chettinad homes. These are large rooms with enough space to comfortably accommodate two extra beds. A large bathroom, a lovely sit out with antique recliners, and greenery outside. It is indeed paradise if the weather gods cooperate! The makings of coffee and tea, a lovely dressing table, towels and toiletries complete the room.

The second portion of the resort has cottages that are again furnished with antique furniture. The cot, wardrobes and chairs are all beautiful. This portion has a separate kitchen and a large common area that can be used for entertainment. The owner has some good plans for this portion of the resort.

We stayed here only for a day and had three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was excellent! The right amount of spice, courteous waiters, good music. Breakfast is usually a buffet. The other meals are ala carte.

There is a swimming pool which I did make use of. Once again, since it was summer, the water was hot. The owner keeps many dogs- three labradors, a German shepherd and several puppies of various ages. They are all friendly and an added attraction.

The heritage site Darasuram is very close by (2 km) and this place can serve as the base to visit all the temples in Kumbakonam and Tanjore. The tariff is reasonable and depends on the season. On the whole we had a great stay and will definitely visit again.

Suggestion: If the car park can be spruced up, it would be perfect.

Room tip: All the rooms are equally charming.
