We had a FABULOUS experience at the Anaconda Lodge. Friends of ours had recommended we stay at Anaconda Lodge because previously they had stayed there and had an incredible time. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious, the owners (Francisco and Sylvia) were accommodating with anything and everything we needed, and the excursions were interesting and informative. I would absolutely return and stay there a second time in a heartbeat!

I visited The Anaconda Lodge with my classmates on a summer program studying in Ecuador. My experience was truly unforgettable. The staff is amazing, the activities such as hiking, bird watching in canoes, tubing and rafting in the Napo river are just a few things I will never forget. Every suite has its own bathroom and very comfy and clean beds. This lodge is family owned, and when you visit, you feel like family. Francisco and Silvia, the owners, take time to get to get to know every single one of the guests. They make you feel right at home. If traveling to the Amazon, stay at The Anaconda Lodge.

Room tip: The "matrimonial" suite is amazing.

This was my first experience in the rainforest and I couldn't have imagined anything better. Each day was filled with awesome activities -- building rafts, swimming in the riviers, living with the local indigenous people. Francisco, Silvia, and company really keep you immersed in cultural activities as well as expose you to the beauty of the rainforest. Also, the people at the lodge all have awesome background stories. I recommend you grab a drink at the bar with any of the lovely staff members!

So me and my girlfriend just spent 4 wonderful days at Anaconda Lodge in the company of Francisco and his wife Silvia. The lodge is situated on it's own island, a sand island which means no mosquitos. That's right, 3 nights in the middle of the rainforest and no mosquito bites :)

Accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The food was outstanding, fresh ingredients and a nice varied menu. The walking tours through both secondary and primary rainforest with the guide were both educational and fun. Interaction with local villagers was again both educational and fun. We both managed to hit the target with the blowpipe so that had us walking 10 feet tall for a few hours :) Tubing on the Rio Napa was also great fun and an excellent way of appreciating the immensity of the jungle environment.

What I also liked was that there was time just to relax, explore the island, lie in a hammock and listen to the birds and insects.

I honestly believe this is your best bet for a reasonably priced, entertaining and educational jungle tour in Ecuador. It was definitely the highlight of our vacation.
