Amazing, Romanian restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Great food, excellent environment and amazing host. You would love the owner and his story. The cost is not that high, between 50- 100 nis per person.

After a long time I came back to Transilvania and after 2 minutes I felt - I am back at the right lovely place. The food is very very tasty, The owner is a lovely person and to eat there is simply a pleasurt.

The place looks good, nice ambiance, good and happy atmosphere.

Service was wonderful...

Prices are reasonable.

but...

I love Romanian food... addicted to it...

Ikra was OK
Crushed liver... very disappointing
Veronica's... very disappointing
Filled Cabbage was good
Chorba soup much too sower
Kebab was very good

So all in all... not too great...

I went with my three buddies on our quarterly men only trip. This time we chose transilvania as our restaurant for a late afternoon lunch. First courses were mostly good- we shared eggplant salad, chopped liver and ikra salad as well as some goulash soups. The main courses started to disappoint- all meat dishes - pork and beef steaks were way below par. French fries were excellent.
All in all I was disappointed.

Tasteless rack of lamb. Sent it back and got meat skewers. Had to send those back as they were raw in restaurant's attempt to get me a replacement dish as quickly as possible. They were very good though.
