“Great Holiday”

I stayed at the farmhouse with my husband and teenage daughters. The property is very spacious and the pool area certainly has the WOW factor. The location was perfect in a very quiet location not far from the bus stop which takes you to the ferry of Victoria. There are several small supermarkets which stock everything you would want together with the butchers. The shops and square are at the bottom of the hill and so you come back pretty fit.
Just everything about the holiday was so good from the accommodation to the location and the island. Would recommend to anyone. Kenneth was very helpful with information and met us on our arrival which was quite late in the evening. He was also kind enough to post back my husbands sunglasses. Thank you so much - it was great to meet you.

“Incredible Farmhouse in a stunning location”

We've stayed in different villages in Gozo on a couple of occasions so knew roughly what to expect.

From the point of enquiring about Dar Tal - Genn right through our entire time there, the service from Kenneth was first class. He could not have been more helpful and kind and even took a good hour with us upon arrival very late in the evening to explain where everything was and how it worked.

It's a bit of a cliché to say 'The photos don't do it justice', but that really is the case with this farmhouse. The rooms are all much larger than the photos would suggest and the standard of facilities are all excellent. In particular, the kitchen and bathrooms (there are 4!) are all very modern, clean and well appointed compared to many other farmhouses on Gozo.

The pool area is simply stunning and virtually secluded offering great privacy. Being East facing, it gets sun from very early morning and the sun remains on all or some of the pool until sunset. As there is plenty of cover provided on the decking area, there's always somewhere to escape the heat.

Qala itself has to be one of the best villages in Gozo. There are easily 7 or 8 good restaurants, cafes and bars within 5 minutes walk. There are also 3 or 4 mini markets in the village including one which delivers directly to your farmhouse. We've never felt the need to hire a car on Gozo, as even with very young children, the bus service is very efficient, clean and air conditioned. About 1 minute round the corner from the Farmhouse, there are bus stops which take you directly to either Mgarr Harbour or Rabat (Victoria). Buses run hourly from early morning until around midnight. It's also worth noting that there's an ATM machine in neighbouring Nadur Town Square (about 5 minutes by bus).

We regularly stay in self catering properties both in the UK and all over Europe and I also travel regularly with work, but have to say this easily has to be one of the best properties I've ever stayed in. There is literally nothing I could find fault with and will definitely be back.

One tip...if you are a very light sleeper, it may be worth taking ear plugs, as the local 'gang' of cockerels seem to have a very strange sense of humour!

We went with the aim of unwinding and relaxing and that is exactly what we did. The property was well kept and nicely secluded with some good eateries not too far away in the delightful village square.
Kenneth was very helpful to us and very friendly and I would recommend to anyone that this is a good place to stay.

“Great farmhouse. Superb location”

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful farmhouse, for a week. It is not long enough. The location is perfect. There are a few places to eat and drink in the square, which is a five minute walk. There are shops, which once you realise siesta is between 12.30 and 16.30 are easily accesible, and buses which run like Swiss clockwork.

Kenneth, is the perfect host for a romantic time away. He meets you, gives you as much info as you need, has everything you should need, within the farmhouse and then leaves you alone to get on with it. However he also leaves emergency numbers, but says to call if you need anything else. We did and he was more than accommodating. He even phoned back with extra information, on the weekend!!

We shall go back. If yo have never been to Gozo, what are you waiting for? It is truly relaxing, We didnt even bother with a car, and could have continued with public transport for a month, and not got bored. This farmhouse is in a fantastic location.

“Superb House in an Amazing Town!”
Reviewed 13 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

I visited Malta and Gozo in September with my boyfriend. We spent a week in Malta and 4 days in Gozo but as soon as we reached Gozo and this amazing house we knew we had done it the wrong way round as 4 days was just not going to be long enough!

Kenneth was really friendly and helpful, from making the booking to meeting us at the house and all the communication in between. He even arranged for us to be able to have a late check out as our flight home was at 10.00pm and there wasn't an extra charge.

We hired a car and drove to the farmhouse and Kenneth's directions were excellent. Gozo is a special place and the town (Qala) which the house is located in, is in my opinion the nicest. A short walk from the house there are a few bars/restaurants, a bakery, butcher and supermarket (though the big supermarket in Victoria is best if you need more than the essentials).

The house itself is tucked away down a lane which means it is very quiet and private. The views look out onto countryside and a lovely windmill! The pool area is amazing with a really good sized pool and plenty of sun-loungers (beach towels also provided). The barbecue was a highlight for us as it was huge and we ended up cooking each night enjoying the cooler evening breeze. The fact that the house did not have air conditioning was a concern but it really wasn't necessary as there was a nice breeze and the fans provided were more than adequate. The house was clean and well maintained and felt homely (unlike some other rentals I have stayed in). It is also really spacious (much larger than the photos would suggest) and had a good supply of cutlery/dishes (cheese grater and scissors would be good though!). It almost seemed unfair that we had this huge house to ourselves and would accommodate a large family very easily.

I couldn't recommend this house highly enough. If you are wanting to stay in a beautiful village in a fabulous house on an amazing island with friendly locals then this is the place for you! We will definitely return.
