A great place to visit when traveling in Halifax. What a picturesque town. Even though there is a limited amount things to do, it is worth the trip to visit the lighthouse and see why this small village is so popular.

Peggy's Cove had some great ocean views and a picturesque light house. One of our favorite things was a photograph concession where a guy took your photo (with lighthouse in background, created a postcard of photo that could then be mailed from mini post office in gift shop (with Peggy's Cove postmark). Of course, we mailed one to each of our grandchildren. A bit of a "tourist trap", but not too bad.

Peggy's Cove Lighthouse is set atop a dramatic rocky coastline in Nova Scotia, Canada. Beautiful blue water and striking boulders in the tiny fishing village. On a few small 'gift' shops but worth the drive. Make sure to take a camera!

Don’t waste your time. Is it pretty? Yes. But way overcrowded and overrated. There were at least ten tour buses crammed in a small space. The tour info said Peggy’s Cove has ‘unspoiled beauty’...huh? Looks pretty spoiled to me.

Peggy's Cove has certainly its attraction, as the many visitors can attest who come to visit this village of mostly fishing families on the East Coast of Nova Scotia. The Lighthouse, built in 1915, is attractive with its strong and simple lines, having been a beacon of safety for over a century to the sailors out on the sea. But it is also a warning light, a reminder of the unforeseeability of the ocean's bevahiour... to wit the many warning signs telling the visitors not to descent too close to the water, as the dark colouresd rocks attest of frequent waves rushing up to devour whatever is there: many a person was punished for their trespassing on Nature's terrain and taken out to sea to never come back. PLEASE HEED THE WARNINGS! The rogue waves DO NOT COME ON A SCHEDULE. If you want to sea what life is like, take one of the many walking tours through the village, shop, and listen to the residents. They all have a tale to tell, some of them will give you the shudders.
