We stayed at this beautiful villa for a week in the summer with our three boys aged 11, 9 and 5.
The villa was immaculate and the owners very welcoming. The location of the villa and it's views are outstanding.
The children happily spent their time in the pool or playing in the olive groves but if you wish to venture further there is plenty to see in the local area.
I would definitely like to return to Sierra Vista again soon.

“Perfect week in October”

Sue and Trevor, who own this property, could not have been more helpful, it was great having them to advise us on many things when needed. The weather was perfect and the scenery around the area spectacular. We ate in the nearby town of Algodonales on several occasions, so cheap for drinks and good food; we generally ended up with a variety of tapas, as recommended by Trevor. Peaceful days, with only the goat bells to disturb you, certainly worth a visit if you like inland Spain. Saville, Jerez & Estepona are all within easy driving distance.

“Peaceful, stress free family holiday in a beautiful, secluded location - excellent wifi too.”

We spent two weeks at Sue's beautiful place and it couldn't have been more perfect for a family like ours with 4 children. Algodonales is a very friendly town, great for kids, with plenty of family friendly (not to mention cheap!) bars, restaurants and ventas. We spent a day in the lovely town of Ronda but the children were happy to spend most of their days in the swimming pool. The house is spacious with great terraces to enjoy the views and a glass of wine from, perfect for watching the sun go down over the medieval town of Zahara on the hill. Our children loved the house, it is very child friendly, it has no stairs and the pool has no deep end - perfect for teaching our youngest to swim, they especially loved the poolside shower.
You do need a car to stay here, Sue met us at the petrol station on the main road and took us to the house when we arrived. (You can always get bread and basics from the petrol station when the shops in the village are closed during the afternoon for a siesta.) There is nowhere nearby to rent a car from so I'd suggest hiring one at the airport.
The house is extremely private but less than a five minute drive from a lovely Spanish village. Our family can't wait to come back again!

Liked best: The beautiful patio and pool area, perfect for BBQs, swimming and general lounging.
Liked least: Forgetting that the shops close between 2pm and 6pm in Andalucia.

“Great family holiday”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Spent a week here in late April/early May with the family (4 adults, 5 children)

The location is idyllic; nestled in olive groves with breathtaking views whichever way you look. Despite being a large-ish group we had ample room, the villa is bright and spacious with a beautiful (and enormous) living space comprising kitchen/dining/lounge area with bedrooms/bathrooms coming off it and all absolutely spotless. The pool was a big hit with the kids while we spent many an hour in the shade of the orange trees or in one of many spots to sit and relax outside. The pizza oven is a great touch, between this and the swimming the kids never wanted to leave!

When we ventured in to the village we found several cheap, friendly bars/restaurants, great little shops and a beautiful church and town square bustling with people. The children were made to feel welcome everywhere we went and even picked up a bit of Spanish! Although English is not widely spoken the people were all so friendly and eager to help that we had no trouble getting by at all.

This is a great spot from which to explore the area with great days out all within easy driving distance. We visited Cadiz which is steeped in history with a beautiful cathedral and a beach, and Jerez where we toured a sherry vineyard and quite by accident stumbled across a fantastic zoo which the kids loved! Ronda and Seville are also easily reachable from here with several smaller towns and villages in between.

The booking process was simple and the owners were really helpful from our first communication through to arriving at the villa.

This was a really enjoyable family holiday and we will certainly be booking to come again.

We were a family of six and had a lovely holiday from the word go. The villa is as it says on the tin, very private with lovely views. Not overlooked at all with excellent facilities. Loved the pizza oven. We spent hours on the terraces and in the pool (hard to get the children out) Very secluded but on no way isolated, lovely evening walk to bars/restaurants and a short drive to the local village, full of families out for the evening. Seville,Ronda and Jerez are a lovely day out (We never made Granada) but always back to Algodonales in the evening.Hardly any English spoken but didn't seem to matter real Spanish atmosphere. The owners were very welcoming and willing to give advice. Not a disco/nightclub holiday. A car is a must. Lovely holiday, we'll be back.
