The accommodation is very simple - not all rooms had air conditioning or functioning A/C, and there were a few ants in the small, simple bathroom. Indian breakfast and dinner was around a 12 seat table with Mr. Kurian and staff serving serving ample portions on traditional banana leaf "plates". Mr. Kurian knows all the activities (Theyyam rituals, weaving and spice factories); how long it will take and the best times to go. It was very hot and humid here at the end of Feb. so we went a couple of times down the not very well-defined, path to the beautiful, almost deserted beach about 12-15 walk away. Waves weren't too big, but it was good for body surfing.More
