The Malabar Beach Resort is located on Thottada Beach, Kannur and is to put very simply, a home away from home. It took us back to the Kerala from the time when we grew up. Everything - the beautiful cottage, the surroundings, the food, the nice earthly fragrance both within the rooms and outside - everything was exactly the way we remembered our childhood days. The kids also had an outstanding time running around, exploring and learning about good old natural beauty. Most of the questions that they had turned on the nostalgia switch big time for us.  We had opted for the Cottage, which is just beautiful and has a nice lawn outside, with a swing. The Christmas lights at night only added to the prettiness all around. The food was the best we have had in a long time, and totally organic and homely. Exactly the way grandmoms cooked. The service right through was exemplary. Steffin, Rohit and Bijay, you are the best. There have been innumerable ways in which you have helped us during our stay, that we for sure, could not have expected from the priciest of hotels around. We used the services of Ajeesh for traveling within Kannur, and he was super-reliable and helpful.  The Thotada beach is just a matter of crossing a small road, and therefore only a stone's throw away. Let us also tell you that you should not come in with 5 star expectations of luxurious interiors and infrastructure. Also, be mindful of the narrow, curvy road leading to the property. 

This place is a perfect homestay with nothing but good old natural beauty, 7 star service, super nice homely food, and you will love it  We certainly cannot wait to come back to this place again.
