The cottage was clean, beautifully decorated & cosy... really felt like home. The kitchen was stocked with utilities to cook, and we were even given some chocolate biscuits and red wine - thank you! For those rainy evenings in there was a fantastic sound system, board games, guitar and dvds... we were well entertained. If it hadnt of been such poor weather we definitely would have sat outside. Days were spent doing hikes/walks in the beautiful mountains nearby, just a short walk to the train station where we were able to travel to other places. In the future we would probably hire a car though. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. Would 100% recommend.
Stayed here during a rainy week in August 2017.
The cottage is superbly equipped, clean, warm & very comfortable.
The pretty garden is full of birds and a cheeky red squirrel.
The river is stunning, great for a paddle with wellies, but be careful.
Situated in a very quiet spot and at night it gets REALLY dark.
Lock Awe, Oban, Glencoe & Fort William are all close by.
Had a wonderful meal at the George Hotel at Lock Fyne.
Brilliant walk at Glen Nevis to the Stall waterfall & footbridge.
Saw the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
Whiskey tour at Oban.
Hired a little boat and spent a memorable half a day on Loch Awe.
So many castles, Lochs, waterfalls and viewpoints to see too.
Wished we had more time and better weather, but no midges thankfully.
We highly recommend booking Craig Lora Cottage at Dalmally.
We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough!. Set in stunning countryside and breathtaking views. The cottage itself is very homely, clean, comfortable and very modern inside. The owners have clearly thought of everything!. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will have no hesitation in booking again in the near future!.
