We stayed at the hotel a couple of days while visiting relatives. Given the price, I was expecting a bit more. The beds were thankfully comfortable and the rooms were nice and warm. The hotel has a bit of an expansive stark feel to it. The bathrooms looked like they could have used a remodel. My daughter almost got burnt by the water as one could never get a constant temperature and hot water would come pouring out at odd intervals. The staff was ok - not super friendly but helpful. The breakfast included in the stay was not bad.

i was not impressed with this place-the front desk people were not very helpful and came across as disinterested. we had a problem at check-in because we didn't realize we needed our children's identification-we have never been required to present this when traveling within the country. i guess there is a problem with child trafficking or something and while i appreciate the sentiment to protect children, a little warning would've been nice. i don't think they would've honored our reservation, which they accepted online without telling us to bring id's for all members of the family-even kids under 6 yrs old-if i hadn't have been able to find an email in my inbox with an attachment of ids (thank god!). the breakfast was ok as far as buffets go but we had lots of inconveniences. when we went to the pool, we didn't know you needed to have a swimming cap and the pool guy didn't have any for sale so we had to go all the way back down to the front desk to buy these cheap little useless swimming caps. and the pool guy didn't have towels so we had to request towels from the front desk, and the lady told us to get them at the pool-and the pool guy was the one who told us to get the towels at the front desk. annoyances like that abounded. one highlight was incredible water pressure in the shower and unlimited hot water-a nice thing given the chilly clime. also in general the bathroom wasn't inspiring and had the overall feel of dirty to it. so did the pool but it was heated and with little kids it was a huge hit. it opened in the late afternoon/evenings and was a good way to kill extra energy from the days events. the atmosphere was kind of depressed, though, because big and stark and outdated. i think next time we'll just power through and stay somewhere with more charm and personality in villa de leyva.

We embarked on a trip to Paipa... no advanced planning... When we could not get a hotel in Paipa (calling about an hour away) we stopped at this little gem! They make a great Cream of Chicken soup... the rooms were very nice, thought it seemed set for only 1 person (towels, glasses - wine and water) there were 2 queen beds and very comfortable - lots of pillows! We enjoyed a walk around the town in the morning...

It's a great place to stay in the best location in the city. The food is great as well. The rooms are clean, new, and quit. I have stayed there several times and would stay there again . The staff were really helpful and friendly.

A good hotel and was in several of Boyaca and it seemed to me the best, I recommend the upper floors because they are quieter and has a good pool and rest areas, also has a good view over most of the city, the service is very friendly and quality, is complete and is close to important places in the city, modernize a bit lacking in the bedroom clothes but it depends on taste.
