Staying at Casa Debbia in the Azzuro room with great views over the valleys of tuscany for three days was just perfect. Charlie, the host gave us first hand experience of living in Tuscany, and living well! The room was huge, very comfy bed with lots of extra pillows a great bonus with excellent ensuite facilities and freedom to use the main living area and kitchen.

Charlie's breakfasts are so good we asked for recipes. Serious foodies heaven, with homemade breads, preserves and gourmet hot courses. Casa Debbia gives you a great value tuscan experience not just a great value B&B

As part of a group we were accommodated nearby, but breakfasted at the Casa Debbia - and very good breakfasts they were.

Charlie went out of his way to help a very unwell member of our party, who was usually confined to the Casa, and also gave unstinted advice as to where to eat and where the artists comprising most of the group would find good venues - helpful in all cases bar the last!

The scenery is stunning, the road, at least as far as Casa Debbia, not too difficult, and all-in-all a very satisfactory holiday

VIEW - !! BREATHTAKING !! Thats how we felt on arrival and first experience of the view from Casa Debbia. Magnificent, uninterupted views over the valley below and the mountains beyond. You feel compelled to just take the time to enjoy and savour the feelings of tranquility and well being that only a view of such natural beauty can evoke in you.

ACCOMMODATION - The en suite room we were allocated had a view described as above, which added to the lovely, clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and homely environment. The extensive grounds were delightful and especially being encouraged to pick the various fruit and berries for your own consumption!

LOCATION - A perfect base to explore the surrounding areas and further afield BUT knowing that you are returning to Casa Debbie in the evening to chill out and RELAX and this secluded haven, makes for the perfect holiday.

HOSPITALITY - Jean & Charlie gave us an extremely warm welcome and appear to get real satisfaction from providing a high quality and standard of service to their guests. Charlie is a "purveyor of fine foods" AND THEN SOME!!! Every morning he provided us with a different breakfast, which could NOT be described as ordinary and an evening meal which was a gastronomic extravaganza. Meals were served on the terrace with THE VIEW as a backdrop WOW. Charlie was also happy to provide guests with extremely interesting, helpful and honest information about local and other areas of interest. He made several recommendations to us for attractions and eating places for our tour of Italy. We found every one of the recommendations to be accurate and were amazed at how Charlie recalled the information from memory, without making any reference to books etc. If you like the odd glass (or bottle) of vino, Charlie is you darling, and its not just because he has an keen interest in the subject matter!

PHOTOS - I have printed some wonderful views, but unfortunately I deleted these from my memory stick in error GRR!!
(never mind I will get more on the next visit)

I look forward to the day when we will return to Casa Debbia because I know for sure WE WILL BE BACK!!

This is a gem. I stayed here with my then 9 year old son during easter 2005. The owners, Jean and Charlie, did everything to make our stay as nice as possible. The room was large and very
well furnished. The view from our room was one of the best i I have ever enjoyed. The atmosphere is both relaxing and very friendly. You will be likely to meet a lot of friends of the family, and to eat dinner and drink wine with them. The place is very interesting if you`re staying in the area and want to avoid the larger resorts. The nearby village Coreglia Antelminelli makes you feel you`re back in the 60-ties. All in all it`s a different italian experience. It is to be highly recommended.

We visted Casa Debbia in July 2006 for the first week of our Tuscan/Umbrian holiday. We arrived very late at night after having a bit of a nightmare finding the place.

When we awoke next morning we were stunned by the view of the mountains from our bedroom window. Our room, the Teracotta Suite, was very pretty and spotlessly clean. We were treated to a wonderful breakfast on the patio including fresh figs from the trees in the garden, home made bread and yoghurt. Each day we were also served with a different hot Italian breakfast speciality.

We ate in on two evenings and the food was excellent and very reasonable. Again we were given typical Tuscan dishes made from local produce and treated to musical entertainment.

Unfortunately, for the last 4 nights of our stay we had to move up to another property as the main house was full. (We were told about this before we went). We were not really happy with the standard of this accomodation and did not feel that it was as described. It was clean but very old fashioned and in need of some upgrading.

We would recommend Casa Debbia to anyone who wants to have a relaxing holiday in a beautiful situation with lots of places to see and things to do. Just make sure that you book into the main hotel for the whole duration of your stay.
