We spent a beautiful three week family vacation of five living in a wonderful beach cottage and one forest view room. The Sands at Nomad is located at the center of Diani beach the most beautiful beach of east Africa. Rainforest plants and century old Baobab trees suround the hotel in all directions. There is a spirit of environmental protection and care( we witnessed a green sea turtle hatching!!!) directly in front of the hotel. The casualy stylish Nomad restaurant features a high quality menu witch ranges from kenyan to pizza, sushi and catch of the day seafood.
The combination of attention to detail and spirit of kindeness of the entire staff made this vacation an unforgettable experience.
The Sands has a place in our heart and we will be certain to come back.

The Sands at Nomad provided us with a great stay in Diani beach.
The swimming pool was the perfect size, the outside area was super confortable and relaxed, the staff was incredibly nice and caring, the beach was just beautiful (apart from all the harassing sellers) and the monkeys were hilarious.
Breakfast was very good and food was fresh, though I will say they should habe more options available regarding types of milk (the only available was cow's).
What made the difference was all the details: a small bottle of water in the toilet for us to brush our teeth (tap water is not great), the coasters were made from recycled wet suits, someone would come every night and put our mosquito nets down, the common area with games and books for the guests, ...
To wrap it all up, when we were checking out, we were offered a book from the common area that we had asked to buy from the hotel, even though it was part of their small library for all the guests. It was a lovely gesture.

This a beautiful boutique hotel. Food was generally excellent (I recommend booking with half board option, which is well worth even if drinks are not included - not even filtered water). We had mixed experiences with the hotel staff. In restaurants, everyone was just great. At the reception everything fine except for the last day, when we were denied a late checkout despite the hotel feeling half empty. Our welcome was particularly unpleasant as we had to wait 30 minutes until the guest relationships manager finished to tell us about the hotel and the possibilities of purchasing excursions, activities, etc. This wasn't very elegant and quite annoying after having travelled for so long. It would be much better if the hotel invested in updating the information package at the room with all these activities along with their prices and who to contact to arrange them. Lastly, the worse part was the gorgeous white sand beach, which unfortunately was infested with salesmen who were literally following us until the water to try to sell us staff (this is despite insisting several times on the same day that we wanted to be quiet). Not my idea of a quiet holidays: the hotel would vastly improve if only they stopped partnering with these salesmen.

Thank you for your review and your generally positive comments! In our Half or Full Board meal plan clients have a a la carte choice of all our food offerings in both restaurants! Drinks are not included in this meal plan. Our guest relation manager gives our new arrived guest important information on hotel and room operation. We do have an App- called The Sands at Nomad- which replaces the room folder and has many informations for our guests. Normally the introduction of the guest relation manager does not take longer than 5-7 Minutes- I appologies if this has taken longer then necessary. The Beach is a public area and the salesman there are licensed by the County goverment. The hotel and the respective group of beach operators have signed a Code of Conduct, which should exclude annoying activities as you have described! We will take your comments serious and call for a meeting with the concerned operators. Than k you very much and hope to welcome you again one day!!

We stayed 2 nights and got a complimentary upgrade to a Beach Cottage (no. 37 right next to the restaurant). Staff if this Hotel is extremely friendly which makes one really feel welcome. Richard the GM held a welcome cocktail for guests on Friday evening which wet the tone. Trui, Restaurant Manager made sure that we did not go hungry. Sea food was very very fresh and well prepared (if I have to be critical, may slightly over cooked bust only just). We walked for miles on pure white sand beaches and enjoyed the snorkling too. A highly recommended boutique hotel.

We have been stayed 1 week in this hotel . I should say it was really nice place :
People from the restaurant they are really friendly and care after you specially Charles and the lady from Belgium who she s managing this restaurant perfectly.
The food is also .
Rama from the reception is really nice personand really realable also.
Thank for Benson as well who is able to speak several languages.
For sur we will come back because in this hotel we really feel we are at home .
Don't forget the beach it is amazing beach.
Thank everyone for this atmosphere from your ❤️.
