Staff were friendly.

There wasn't a lot of wardrobe space. We just about managed as a family of 3. However, the room was clean and the beds were comfy.

The hotel has 8 pools, so guests are evenly distributed, which avoids all guests congregating round one pool.

Our room (234) was close to Waterpark, but we couldn't hear any noise. The shingle beach is only a 10min walk away.
We had a balcony. Ground floor rooms had their own sun loungers, however there was no shortage of sun loungers whatever time of day we decided to sunbathe by the pool or Waterpark.

Food was OK, not amazing, but you'd never go hungry.

There's free WiFi in the hotel room, so you can download Netflix, Amazon Prime content to your phone to watch by the pool.

The waterpark was OK. The Lazy River, Wave Pool, and Orange Family Slide were decent. My son enjoyed the Splash Park. However the Green Sidewinder is the only white knuckle ride, there's no Kamakazi. But the Waterpark is right next to the hotel so we could come and go as we please.

Make sure you visit the Walnut Tree Bar- Claudiu makes great cocktails, brings food orders over to you, he's the consummate professional, he absolutely made our holiday, my family were sad to say goodbye to Claudiu.

We will probably go back to Aqua Bay one day.

Myself and my fiancé are currently sat in our AVERAGE room writing this review. So first of all the resort to look at and be in is beautiful, very picturesc. But when you start to look into the details you start to realise it’s just abit crap. The TUI rep is relatively useless and don’t expect him to be any use if your trips are cancelled as he is rarely at the resort and will then only offer a 50% refund.
The food is AVERAGE, so are the drinks.
The cleaners whilst we are out of the room feel it’s acceptable to steal and use my fiancé’s makeup inwhich the manager did nothing about to my knoledge.
As soon as you reach the resort we were taxed for an overnight tax which we were not told about by TUI before our arrival, for two of us for 10 days was €40.
The bar staff and restraunt stafff are lovely and very welcoming, remembering your regular orders and being very talkative.
The first room we were moved to had no silicon around the door seal so when the door was shut, their was no noise cut out at all, especially being right by the main road (if put in room 147 ask for a room change immediatley). When we asked for a room change upon inspection of the room we were told to wait 3 days for turnaround day and we would get a pick of the rooms available. Come three days when we turn up we were given the last available room they had and were very rude when I asked about the free choice of the rooms.
There is no night porter and most of the doors entering the site are left unlocked meaning anyone can walk through the resort.
The resort is slap bang in the middle of the airliner routes so every 15-20 minutes an airplane does fly over head, not a mega deal breaker but can be an annoyance at times.
The facilities are very basic, having only one weights machine in the dark and unlit gym and three cardio machines which don’t work, very disappointed.
The maintanance men work non stop and really do earn there money, as do the waiters and barmen, other than that, the cleaning staff can be very rude and pull the old “I don’t speak English” card when questions are asked that they don’t want to answer.
The chefs at the restraint, being its and open kitchen, tend to stand and stare at you when picking your food which
can be quite threatening.

The rooms are lovely. The weather is lovely. The staff are nice. BUT!!!
We traveled with tui and the service is poor. We booked a trip that was cancelled when we got to the location, no prier warning. Took us an hour and half to get there , on a hot stuffy coach just to come back to the hotel.
Offered 50% back. Was not happy.
The kids disco was only 30 minutes long. And suitable for toddlers and children up to 6.
Broken glass found on grass and in swimming pool. reported to the manager. Wasn't resolved untill a child hurt them self . Apparently 6 people complained. But nothing happened untill this kid was bleeding.
Music loud untill 11 pm. Food choices very limited. There were night where I didn't eat at all. Pools had bugs in. No clorine in pool. Room service wore my makeup as I walked into my room to found my expensive make up everywhere and empty. Would recommend island. But not this hotel !!
