New boutique hotel ... superb design ... very attractive and spacious suites with private pool ... very good privacy ... attractive central pool area with pool bar ... a bar keeper with a lot of passion ... great breakfast buffet with unconventional combinations ... extensive menu allowing free selection of multiple courses as part of the half-board package ...very good food quality ... but the portions they serve are far too big, which is unnecessary, really a pity, generates unnecessary waste and then finally turns to become annoying ... distance to the Sea is no problem, as the hotel provides everything you wish for a couple of relaxing days ... fancy outdoor fitness center ... "no children" is a real asset for this hotel and makes it the place for couples ... can fully recommend !

Stunning venue, beyond expectations...

I won’t lie, it felt great to hear the gasps of others on our transfer bus, as we pulled up. But when we pushed open the heavy wooden doors, to reveal the out of this word hotel, it felt even better.

The hotel is like something out of a Bond Film. Sadly there was no Halle Berry or Pierce Brosnan body to follow.

We were greeted on arrival with hot flannels & fresh juice, and taken up to our room on a buggy. It’s a pretty steep climb otherwise, but you’ll need to exercise, you’ll struggle to say no to what food they have on offer.

Our room was the second best, so not the honeymoon suit sadly, though we did angle for an upgrade - we didn’t get any other congratulations offering either. Hey well.

The maids are very friendly & efficient, and generous with their coffee capsule refills.

Breakfast is amazing, fresh, healthy, and although you can sit inside and eat, you can sit outside and look out across the mountains & sea, while the birds sing sweetly in your ears.

The staff are lovely & friendly. Customers very international, ie not just English, which was nice.

There’s a lovely pool as you walk into the hotel, with a bar that you can either swim up to or sit at in the evening, and beds with curtains that pull around, and that’s where you get massaged. You get a free one upon booking. That was lovely.

The pool area is nice and quiet as the rooms are so nice. Though they do put some live bands on in the evening - I think most people went out.

It says there’s a gym on the website I think - at least I was expecting one - there’s not really - there’s a few outdoor machines... that was a shame.

Other than that, faultless! Amazing food, outstanding cocktails, accommodation that’s beyond your wildest dreams, it’s clean & friendly, and the pool is just amazing! We didn’t have heated, we might have opted for that in hindsight, thought it wasn’t a big deal, but then again I THINK heated pools on the same level were shared?

Local restaurant - the balcony hotel I think it’s called - it’s at the top of a cliff - but book. Also go on a turtle hunting tour & try out the bowling alley For different kind of evening. Yes really.

Book this hotel if you want to chill & spend quality time with someone special. Not a party place.

We wanted to book an ‘adult only’ space and therefore booked a suite here with a private pool. The suite itself is clean and contemporary and the plunge pool is a must-have. The only issue we experienced was the plunge pool can get dirty and it is not maintained on a regular basis whilst you are residing in the suite. The suites are tucked away on a peaceful hilltop yet within walking distance if you want access to bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend Zante Maris Suites to couples wanting a peaceful getaway!

Every detail was up to the best standards! I must say this is perfect place to stay for holidays. Our room was magnificent and very clean. We were served delicious breakfast every morning, very varied in choice. And the staff were so kind with us, welcoming, friendly and helpful! Service at this hotel was superb, especially Andreas, we just loved him!!! I highly recommend this hotel!!

We very much enjoyed our end of season 5 nights at this very comfortable hotel. Most of the rooms are in one storey villas up a steep hillside, some with their own pools - which felt very luxurious. The bed was particularly large and comfortable, and the view over the coast was beautiful. Some helpful pointers might be:

As noted by others, the road and path down to the town is very steep, as is the road up to some of the rooms, but there is a buggy available if you need it.

The pools outside the rooms are unheated and so, by early October, too cold for us to use.

There was absolutely no sign of the smell mentioned by some clients earlier in the year.

There is good wifi coverage, and a decent breakfast although you have to ask if you want more coffee or tea.

We didn't use the dining room which looked very formal and required advance booking - and was expensive, so we ate in town every evening, which we thought slightly unfortunate.

The reception staff were lovely but a failure of internal communication led to a hiccup in a car hire arrangement- but no serious harm was done.

Which leads me to a final recommendation: Do hire a car for a day. The north and west of the island are spectacular, and exploring at your own pace is much more fun - and probably less expensive - than taking a coach or boat tour.
