“Very Nice Resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2011

We stayed at this resort for three nights. The first night we got there quite late, just before dark. Ralph, the owner/manager upgraded us to the executive suite. The suite had two entrances, was spacious, with lots of amenities and most of all, it was spotless. Our bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was great, double sinks, large jetted tub, attractive tile work. Full kitchen, separate living space, huge fireplace, flat screen, and most of all, let's not forget the lovely view! It was truly a very comfortable resort in which to stay. Ralph takes great care of this resort, he was always working and still available; we can't imagine when he get to take his vacation, he must be there 99.9% of the time! You should see the beautiful flowers everywhere; the landscaping is so well kept, too. The location of this property is also perfect, in the middle of the Sunshine Coast, making all the area's attractions very accessible. Such a nice spot to come home to after a full day of fun! Ralph's recommendations for places to eat, were appreciated and enjoyed. Everywhere we went, the resort was known and reactions were very favorable, further testimony to this gem on the Sunshine Coast! (:)

Room Tip: Everyone has different needs and likes; Ralph understands his clients and will be helpful in the sel...

We stayed for 1 nite, Sept.14th 2011. The setting is so scenic. The hot tub was a welcome relief after a long day of walking and travelling. We thought it was a good value for the money. Comfortable bed , quiet, and clean. There are not a lot of choices of places to stay along the route going north to the Powell River area. The owner / manager of the resort, was very personable.

My husband took me here for my Birthday - We rented one of the new cottages. Just beautiful - especially the PRIVATE hot tub on the outdoor deck! The owner is very customer savvy. Amazing landscaping - and just a short walk to the best food/pub on the Coast. Expensive but worth it for a special occassion...

Room Tip: Spend the money for the cottage w / hot tub!

We rented a one-bedroom suite in the Original Lodge for two nights: beautiful view from the deck, nice comfortable suite and bed, very clean.

But, oh man, was it noisy!!! Due in fact to the upstairs tenants - and not something I believe they could help that much; its just that the soundproofing is terrible in this building. I believe the caretakers were the ones living upstairs, and by 8am in the morning on a Saturday, we were awaken to stomping around, vacuuming, drilling, and every word of their conversation.

Not something you want when you're on vacation with such a calm and idyllic setting. We became paranoid that they too would be able to hear everything we did or said, so we resorted to creeping around like church mice. Not conducive to the comfortable retreat we were hoping for, and especially at $160 a night.

That said, the cottages looked beautiful, and the Main Lodge may be nice; just make sure no one is above you. You'll hear EVERYTHING.

My husband and son stayed for one night on the 25th October. On arrival we received a complimentary upgrade to their best room just across the hallway from reception, which was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. The views were magnifient and the whole place was so quiet. The king size bed was so comfortable to sleep on, and our son enjoyed the privacy of his own room. We found a well stocked supermarket not far down the road, and could easily cook ourselves our meal in the well appointed kitchen.
Free WiFI, which was a great bonus too for us as travellers.
