Everything was great. The diner was great, breakfast a little bit too basic. Great location and swimming pool. Big parking place. Friendly owner. 400m from the center of Potos. For sport fans 2 televisions inside with footbal games every day.

We visited with friends to this hotel organised as a package holiday through Thomas Cook UK.
We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel, the lounge and public areas and the dining facilities.
Our room was simple, very clean and everything worked including a 'quiet' position on the aircon for overnight use - still required in mid September. Hot water was instant and always available and there was a small refrigerator and TV.
We were most impressed with the buffet selection of food both at breakfast and evening meal if required. All tastes were catered for and with the shear variety on offer, there is something for everyone.
The manager was very evident by his presence and clearly runs a tight ship. Nothing is left to chance, and when a hairdryer in the room failed, it was replaced with a new one later the same day. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. A credit to the Hotel.
The hotel is positioned some 300 yards from the sea in a quite, semi rural setting and about a 6 minute walk into Potos where there is a wide range of shops, car hire etc.
One gripe about the town which does annoy me is the way the seafront bars and restaurants tightly pitch sunbeds and umbrellas from the edge of the sea right to the restaurant steps. You cannot walk the beach here. The answer is to forget the busy town beach and use the less populated, San Antonio longer beach to the South, which is in fact the nearest beach to Hotel Astir Notos. Sunbeds are well spaced so that you can follow (or avoid) the sun by moving sunbeds as required, unlike the Town Beach. These sunbeds are owned by somewhat classier beach restaurants set well back, and one of these - The San Antonio Beach Bar and Restaurant is so good that it is the subject of a seperate review.
It should be noted that the buses here are useless as they run to a timetable which changes at least once a week, and even then they can be over 1 hour apart. Hire a small car from the town at a very reasonable rate - and pay cash!!

Thanks to All at Astir Notos for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on West side get afternoon sun. There is no traffic noise anywhere.

When we arrived staff waiting for us and our cases the hotel manager made us so welcome as we had a delayed flight coming in , quick check in and shown to our rooms then the manager sorted out a evening meal for us all as we were late getting in We stayed with our two friends at this lovely hotel in September 2017 for one week , we stayed for Bed and Breakfast, the breakfast was very satisfying all you could want to eat from a Greek breakfast buffet something different on most mornings , fresh fruit and Pastries the morning staff are very friendly and the service was good, tables cleared quickly, food was a good standard , the rooms are colourful and well equipped for all ours needs, the room safe was only € 10 for the week which I think was cheep, maid service cleaned the rooms everyday , bar service was good and drink prices were reasonable, happy hour a must, we only stayed for evening meal twice but what we had was very nice from the Dinner buffet , we walked in to town most nights to eat from some very good places to eat on the beach only a short walk away from the hotel, lovely size pool with jacuzzi, pool bar , sun beds and all with a inflatable Pink flamingo to cruise around the pool in, over all a lovely hotel with very nice staff who worked very hard to make our stay very very enjoyable and relaxing , on leaving cases collected by staff and escorted to the coach. Lovely holiday, Lovely Hotel , Lovely Staff

From the moment we were dropped off until we left the service, room and food were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very much at home. The hotel is delightful with relaxing rooms and comfortable beds. The decor is bright and cheerful. The pool is located in a pretty garden with a bar where you can buy a drink or snack. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is varied and excellent and there is certainly plenty of it!
Unfortunately I was not well for a couple of days and the manager and his staff were so kind and could not help enough.
Altogether a lovely hotel near an excellent beach with pretty tavernas who serve good coffee and fantastic food. The village of Potos is a busy little place with plenty of choice for eating and drinking.

Room Tip: All rooms have a balcony but non have sea views.

Great welcome from the owner on a very wet Friday afternoon in May. Deluxe suite we stayed in was excellent even had a small kitchen hidden in the wardrobe. didn't use the pool that is within the deluxe suite complex, separate from the main hotel pool . (not a pool person prefer beach) Hire a car as the island is small we went round it three times stopping off at different beaches Paradise beach and Golden beach were fab I did like Paradise beach better, view to die for when you look back. Hotel is less than a ten min walk into Potos where their are lots of restaurants to chose from and several bars. All staff within the hotel were lovely.
