Two nights in a comfortable room, two spectacular dinners with wine from the extensive cellar, two tasty breakfasts, and hours of reading in the lounge and on the front porch made up our peaceful Labour Day get-away weekend. Rossmount Inn is our “happy place” in St. Andrews.

We only stayed one night and were happy with our room. It is an older place but the room was clean and comfortable. It is a few miles out of town in a lovely setting. Breakfast is not included but was worth the $9 charge. We did not hear any noise from the restaurant.

The Rossmount Inn as an old building with lots of charm. The stairs and floors squeak and there isn’t a lot of privacy in the older rooms. It’s not luxurious but has nice old charm. There was a small wall mount tv in the room. Ductless wall mounted heat pump for heating and cooling. No fridge but that was fine. Older bathroom fixtures. Nothing fancy.
The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Tons of flowers and planters. The pool area is amazing just wish it didn’t rain on us all day. The pool isn’t heated but was still arm due to the month long heat wave. The rain cooled it off significantly.
I give the Rossmount Inn a three and half star. It gets a four star here because the amazing restaurant is a ten star. The food coming out of that kitchen is mind blowing. Absolutely one of the best places I’ve ever eaten. That’s a separate review. I highly recommend if you are going to stay at the inn then you have to get a supper meal in. It will blow your mind and your taste buds.

A lovely, older inn on top of a hill surrounded by lawns and woods. Our room was on the second floor and was confortable. While it wasn't air conditioned, the nights were cool enough for that not to be a problem. It is still very quiet with the windows open. When I made the reservation I was asked if I wanted dinner reservations. Thank goodness I said yes. The restaurant deserves its reputation as one of the best in New Brunswick.

Room Tip: The rooms on the first floor were smaller (the ones I saw). We were on the second.

When staying in an Inn, one expects the creaky floorboards and squeaky doors that come with old, "charming" architecture. One does not expect, or deserve, to be kept up until 1am by rooms placed squarely over the restaurant in which one can hear every chair being pushed out, every guffaw of laughter, every clatter of silverware against plate. In short, AVOID THE SECOND FLOOR of this Inn, especially room 25. The restaurant below has a seating at 930, so we heard noise until 1am. The management was completely unresponsive when we complained upon checkout. Wish we'd stayed at a boring, but quiet Holiday Inn.....

Room Tip: STAY ON THE THIRD FLOOR or you will be up all night.
