We were on our way back from a Road trip with out 6 year old pet retriever and needed to make an overnight stop in Kolhapur. I searched and called many properties including Sayaji and Fern yet no property was Pet friendly. I finally found Nisarg and Pooja from reservation was very professional and helpful in confirming my reservation. Booked for the King Suite with bathtub and though the room was "nice", it was the bathroom that was the show stopper!
It's in the outskirts of Kolhapur atop a hill. Our room had a patio sit out and a small green patch which did wonders for our dog's mood :) The best thing was that we had our own small gate so our pet could not escape. The AC does a decent job yet if you enjoy a warm cuddle in your blanket in cold room, that won't be possible as you will wake up drenched in sweat. This room could definitely do with a bigger AC. Also, you WILL be greeted with lots of cockroaches everywhere so think twice before putting your clothes in the cupboard and leaving food unsealed on the electric kettle table. Do NOT keep the door open even for a minute else you will have grasshoppers and lots of mosquitoes that refuse to die with All out in your room. Dab odomos before you go to bed.
Food is decently priced and yummy!!

The bathroom is Spectacular. It feels like a cave with its wood and rock slab interiors. The tub is HUGE and is almost a mini pool! Water is not hot enough for a steaming soak but will be enough to get a pleasantly warm soak for 15-20 mins. The shower is not exactly kid friendly as they can slip on the rock when taking a shower or even if you are naturally not very sure footed as you are prone to slip once soap and shampoo hit the rock floor. A handle near the shower would really be great as it will ensure safety of the guests. More
