The house is in middle of Bishops Castle with a wonderful view of the Long Mynd in the distance. Stuart and Jane had provided us with everything needed for an easy holiday (especially in the kitchen). The woodburning stove was a delight later in the evening. Don't hesitate to stay there.
We were welcomed by the friendly owners Stuart and Jane who had just finished preparing the property for our arrival. The property has an interesting and quirky layout on several levels and feels very cosy. As the weather had been fine, we made good use of the garden and BBQ enjoying views over the countryside.
The two bathrooms are modern and fairly new with good showers.
The kitchen is well fitted and there is a washing machine and dishwasher as well as plenty of utensils for those who want to cook. If cooking is not your thing, there are pubs nearby serving food and also a variety of restaurants.
The town is within a few minutes walk form the front door and people in the area we met were friendly and helpful.
There are many walks in and around the town and helpful guides are available in the lounge. The property is within a few miles of the Offa's Dyke trail.
The only downsides are that the parking is on street and, although not recommended directly outside, we had no problem finding space for two cars, within a 100m or so and also the low doors/ beams on which a six footer banged his head several times!
