We loved our stay at Choupahari for two-and-a-half days. It has all the makings of a boutique resort. It's cosy and respectful of the rustic surroundings where it is situated, with updated amenities.
We were seeking a much-needed rest and relaxation, and we found it here.
Loved the breakfasts of luchi and alur dom, a Bengali staple.
There are two points to note though: 1. Please do install electric heaters in the rooms, which the manager assured was on the anvil, and 2. on the second day, the fish served at dinner was not fresh and the dhokar dalna was paltry. The dinner on the previous day was very sumptuous though, which was much appreciated by all of us.
In a nutshell, I will choose this place again when I visit Shantiniketan.
