“A little piece of heaven”
Reviewed 25 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

My friend and I booked this cottage last year and now don’t want to stay anywhere else in Cornwall. We booked our return visit (two weeks the second time) whilst sitting on the terrace overlooking the sea and, of course, St Michael’s Mount). The cottage is quirky and welcoming, a bit like a giant beach hut, but with wonderfully comfortable beds and everything you might need for a stay. We are two friends, so we have plenty of space to enjoy- I’m guessing others, families especially, or groups of friends, would find the cottage equally as comfortable, with three double bedrooms to enjoy, and the fabulous wet room.

But the main reason we love this place is the garden and patio- a sun trap, but also heavenly on cloudy days, just gazing out to sea, with the “bar” equipped with fridge, sun loungers, and bbq. There can be no better view.

Lovely welcome touches- the scones, flowers and wine were all there.

Marazion is a quiet place with a beautiful beach and the bus stop is right outside the cottage, so easy to avoid expensive and stressful parking during your stay, and with direct buses between St Ives and Penzance.

You simply must stay here ❤️

We stayed in the Artists Cottage in Marazion with views of St Michaels Mount from windows & garden.A lovely cream tea, bottle of wine & lovely fresh flowers left by Olivia awaited us which was much appreciated & enjoyed. Lovely comfy beds & every thing you could want. We had dinner twice at the Cutty Sark restaurant & would highly recommend it.The Fire Engine pub 2 doors down handy for a relaxing drink.Small general store/post office in the village & larger supermarkets a couple of miles away

“Shabby chic cottage.”
Reviewed 16 November 2017 for a stay in October 2017

The welcome bottle of wine scones and cream was very nice. The cottage was very shabby chic sofas not very comfortable and the downstairs bedroom was cold and damp.A lovely spot though overlooking st. Michael's mount.

There are electric fires and the cost of electricity is included in the price. Humidity is inevitable when you are so close to the sea I'm afraid. It's often over 90%.

Hi Kim. I'm really glad you enjoyed your stay. The dog restriction on the town beach is seasonal but the other beaches off the coastal path don't have any restrictions - for future reference, hoping you'll come back sometime ! Thank you very much h for your review.
