“Great stay”

The property is as described by the owner, its stylish and spacious with a well equipped kitchen along with a large collection of books, DVD's and CD's. There's garden furniture just outside the French doors if you wish to sit outside and enjoy the views. Local shop well stocked and friendly. We stayed for three days and enjoyed the two short local walks and had a good meal in the nearby pub/restaurant AM Politician.

Spacious, spotless,100 metres from lovely beach and pub, what more can you ask for! Excellent for family or large group as sleeps 8 and has large lounge with open plan kitchen. Easy to get to Barra and Vatersay and Berneray via the Uists and Benbecula. Great for dogs as fenced in. All mod cons and many extras. Car highly recommended, particularly if weather is inclement. Island store very well stocked and reasonably priced given the location. Cannot recommend too highly. Owners have put a lot of thought into what would visitors would like and should feel proud of their standards

Liked best: location
Liked least: Very minor point - difficult to see house sign at night, sign on road would be good. Having an axe to chop kindling would be helpful..

This was a late booking and the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We are frequent visitors to the Western Isles but this is the first time that we have stayed on Eriskay and were not at all disappointed. The cottage is well located for easy access to the beaches, very close to the shop and about 2 minute walk to the local pub/restaurant. The cottage has obviously been refurbished recenty to a high standard and has everything that you could possibly need and more. The cottage was very cosy and warm with furnishings of good quality with everything clean and well maintained. I would be happy to recommend this property and would be very happy to go back there myself. We were a party of 8 with 3 teenagers and 1 granny and it suited us all.
It was quite a sight to have the wild herd of ponies outside the garden in the morning, the sheep in the evening and the seals basking in the low sun as we crossed the causeway. This is an ideal property to relax and get away from it all...

Liked best: The warmth, comfort and facilities offered.
Liked least: Quite near other houses (had cheked it out on google earth which is obviously out of date) - initially thought that this was not ideal but it really didn't matter at all. The area was exceptionally quiet and tranquil.
