We first visited Coachingmans Cottage 8 years ago and it was lovely then, it's even lovelier now with the new configuration and 5 star upgrade. Cosy and well equipped you couldn't want any more from a holiday cottage. Ideally situated to visit so many places too. All covid precautions have been taken for a safe stay as well. We won't leave our next visit so long!
We enjoyed our stay in the Brecon Beacons on an extremely warm week.
The cottage is decorated lovely and the kitchen is well equipped. The knifes were of a decent quality and sharp and the kettle quick & quiet.
First time we've had a cottage with Sky and Netflix which is a nice extra for the evenings.
The pub nearby was closed and there was nothing much else in the village. Footpaths nearby were not so great for walking a dog, even although many dogs in the village. Outside space was small and an extension at the back of neighbours overlooked it. The downstairs bathroom window was open all the time and was a little off-putting.
Overall great value for money and comfortable enough, location could be better.
Booked as a last minute holiday, we were not disappointed. This is a beautiful, comfortable cottage in a lovely area of Wales. All fixtures are of a high standard, the cottage is very well equipped and the basket of goodies was a lovely touch. WiFi and Sky TV were a hit with the children (and the adults!) There was lots of information in the cottage about places to go, many of which we would not have found. Thoroughly recommend. The fact that lots of tractors went past was an added bonus to my husband and son.
Lisa genuinely saved us from a ruined holiday as we searched for somewhere to stay on a busy July weekend. We had originally booked another cottage which turned out to be a house of horrors which we left after one night. After a frustrating morning trying to find somewhere else to stay, we felt our holiday was ruined as we had only booked a short break of four days and now wasted one in the house of horrors. Drawing a blank with accommodation agencies as all was booked up, we picked up a Brecon holiday brochure where we found Coachingmans cottage. As soon as we arrived we were bowled over by the gorgeous cottage which has been furnished to the highest standards and every element of it made you feel at home, happy and relaxed. Fresh flowers and a welcome hamper were the icing on the cake. The cottage is in a very quiet village with a lovely pub just down the road. Despite having planned some lovely walks in the Brecon beacons we were so enjoying the lovely cottage we didn't want to leave! Anyway it couldn't have been better and we hope to go back in the winter to take advantage of the log burner! Book it book it book it, you won't be sorry!!
We spent the most fabulous Easter Bank Holiday weekend based in Coahingmans Cottage, the weather was amazing..
Arriving late Friday afternoon we found a very nice welcome hamper including Easter Eggs, a really thoughtful touch. The furnishings very tasteful and of very high quality, we found our stay very comfortable.
The cottage is very well located with many good restaurants that are not expensive within a short drive away. My first visit to the Brecon Beacons and there is so many things to do and places to visit a weekend is not long enough and without doubt we will return.
