A house with good food, a food view to the sea and a friendly staff.
Take your time and enjoy the many litle dishes.

Peixinhos means little fish! But in this case don't take it to seriously! We are talking about fried green beans! Try them out in Casa da Guripa! The carpaccio (bouef) was also a good choice! The prices are balanced! Definitely worth the visit.

The starters did not shine, but maybe due to our choice. The fish (turbot) we ordered for grilling was served a bit over-grilled. The desserts are original and good. Good atmosphere and great service. Given what we ate and drank, the bill was high.

"Casa da Guripa" is a modern, pleasant seaside restaurant with clean lines dècor. It is set in a fishermen's typical village and its quiet modern style stands out. We tried it out for a first time on a sunny Saturday's lunch. For starters we had "Lingueirão à Bolhão Pato" and for main course Sea Rice ("Arroz do Mar"). It was not outstanding as we had expected. A couple had highly recommended this restaurant so our expectations were high. For dessert we had Passion fruit cheesecake and leite creme queimado (both were delicious). We weren't lucky either with the view since we were seated by the stone wall... It was a below average lunch experience and probably won't come back.

Casa da guripa is set in front the Atlantic with a small area that can sit around 45 people.
We had lunch with friends and kids in a group of nine. Comfortably seated we had the peixinhos da Horta, enrolados de alheira e requeijão, preguinhos, bacon and mushrooms à Brás and paella with fish and meat. Everything was great and the service was impeccable.
Will certainly visit again.
