“Great base to explore Kent ”
Reviewed 12 August 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Really enjoyed our stay & no negative issues just a few comments to help other people staying here. We stayed as a group of 4 adults quite comfortably. The single beds were suitable for smaller people. Kitchen/lounge, TV & shower great. Double bed not the most comfortable. The shower room had no opening window or extractor fan so steamed up & the shower water difficult to stop from wetting the floor. Not major issues. 2 things it would have been useful to have on arrival - instructions on where to switch the electricity on & a loo roll - especially arriving at night after a long journey! There are lots of shops around within walking distance. Bedding & towels provided but no cleaning/washing up stuff. Oh & the bridge to Sheppey is scary if you are not keen on heights, but there is a lower alternative!

“Bit of a surprise”
Reviewed 18 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Not sure what I was expecting but was a little surprised when I arrived at the chalet. It was smaller than I had envisaged and from what I understood from the initial photos. Notwithstanding that we had a lovely time there, I feel I should list below a few things with the intention of helping you out, not to be critical:

Chalet smelt of smoke when we first entered

Single beds seemed to be very narrow and I would view them as small childrens beds, not adult

Dining room chairs - one leg collapsed on a chair whilst being sat on and upon investigation we found that another of the chairs had a leg that was already bent - quite dangerous

Shower - fabulous hot water and pressure - although bathroom floor did get wet despite our efforts to keep curtain inside the shower base

No window/ventilation in toilet/bathroom - we could see that improvements were being done

Rubbish bags/dishwashing liquid/laundry capsules/tea towles/dishcloths etc - whilst not expecting you to provide everything, as travellers we felt it would have been nice to have been left with more of the above

Locality information - promote the area - no literature etc on the area. What a fabulous location, we were unaware of what was on offer.

Bikes left at front leaning against outside table - we thought the bikes were all chained together so didn't attempt to move them meaning we couldn't make use of the outdoor area - realised on our 2nd to last day that they weren't chained at all.

I am going to put that I would recommend to a friend - albeit I would be very specific about the chalet and its location and set expectations.
