Outstanding dinner! Friendly staff and delicious food. We had vegetarian kebabs and Fish Tikka for starters then Chicken Tikka Masala and a lamb dish (one of the house specialies) for mains. Very generous servings and the Naan breads were huge.
We will definitely return and highly recommend Indian Pepper to all!
Especially try the Fish Tikka!!

We dined at Indian Pepper with a group of people. The service was extremely friendly and efficient, the ambience great, and of course the food delicious. We all paid separately, which is sometimes a mission for some restaurants, but the waitress/cashier knew exactly what everyone had ordered. She was also excellent taking our orders, and delivering our meals, knowing exactly who had ordered what. There was no charge for rice, and we even ordered an additional bowl. The rice was beautiful and light, and of course all the food was delicious. There's no other Indian restaurant nearby (and we live in St Heliers) that compares to the service and food at this restaurant. And it is very reasonably priced too!

A few friends had told me how great Indian Pepper was and I didnt really believe them As a family we had been going to a few restaurants in the Ellerslie/Remuera area so decided to give Indian Pepper a go. We took the kids there as they love Indian food.
The kids can be fussy eaters so were prepared for it to be not the best experience - Indian can be hit and miss.
From the outset the staff were AWESOME - even the kids were commenting on how great they were. They were attentive and knowledgeable, recommending dishes the kids might prefer, and spicier mixes for the adults.
There was heaps of food - but not too much - and the quality was really first class. The flavours were fantastic and not overpowered from the "heat" of the spicier dishes.
We wanted to go back for a birthday dinner last week and they were closed so we went elsewhere - wish we had waited. Almost reluctant to do a great review on them as I would prefer if they didnt get too popular so we can always get in.
Dont be put off if the place is empty - go in and have a great time

There aren't too many great restaurant options in this area that tick all the boxes, but this one sure did!

We ordered the the garlic chicken tikka (house speciality), chicken korma, lamb saagwala and naan bread. Everything was delicious and we were so full afterwards! The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the ambience. Will definitely be returning!

I stay in this area for work frequently. Sometimes after a long day you just need some comfort food. Ive ordered takeaways from here a few times. The last time it was average so I haven't bothered

Last night I decided to try again. They do delivery which is handy.

I ordered samosa, good old butter chicken and a garlic naan.

The samosa was nicely spiced (3 for $10) although I could only eat one as they're huge.

The BC was not too creamy and tasty. It had a good kick for a hit BC.

The garlic naan was really nice. First garlic naan that actually tasted like there was garlic on it.

I'd definitely get my comfort food from here again.
