Description: Founded in 2014, Mrs Salisbury's optimises the Great British tea room. Our tea room is proudly situated in the blue plaque dwelling of the late Edward Bright, The Fat Man of Maldon. Occupying Rose Cottage at the rear of Church House, our quaint tea room oozes charm and character, with seating over two floors and an idyllic courtyard. Whether dining inside on a cosy winters day or outside in Brights Path, we offer a service like no other in Maldon.

This place is by far the best tearoom around! We visit quite regularly and have never been disappointed. Today it was my son s birthday and we booked the afternoon tea experience. Wow! Food was amazing and the staff and attention to detail is outstanding. We absolutely love this place and can't wait to go back! Thanks so much xxx

We had a fantastic breakfast here. All the classics on the menu as well as some slightly more adventurous choices. I loved the real leaf tea. Food was served quickly and was fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly. We sat outside as it was a nice day, the surroundings of the little courtyard are lovely, very 'shabby chic'.

We have visited Mrs Salisbury so several times in the last few months and always had a great experience.
Staff make you welcome and serve you with a smile.
Menu on offer is very good, with portion sizes, taste matching very good prices.
They do a fine range of cakes to have both eat in and take away and taste is very good at generally good prices.
However today I was disappointed with the size, taste and price of a take away fruit scone. Size was small, tasted very sweet and priced at £1.95 (when I saw how much it was and that it went through till showing with butter, I wasn't worried, when I had it later at home it had no butter), hence it was in my opinion to much. Especially when I can get the same product for half of that price elsewhere locally.
Still had to give it 5 stars.
