Description: The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.

Myself and my partner where visiting Maldon and wanted to get somewhere to eat. Realising it was a Sunday and having a short time before our car tackey expired we needed something quick. We cam across this pub and they were able to seat us immediately. The food was so good and really homely. They were also really accommodating with my young daughter. The staff there are so warm and friendly. I am really fussy where I eat but would definitely recommend this place.

Hadnt booked and place was pretty full but table found for us.

Fish stew was excellent as were the other dishes we ordered. Good selection of beers and ciders.

Parking outside is a problem as limited to only 1 hour but there is a public car park ( 4 hours £5) about 300 yards away.

Pub is right on the water which is nice when water is in but a mud flat when out.

Will happily return!

Right on the river this nice pub offers a good choice of food and drink. Expect it to get very busy on sunny days but nice and warming on a cold afternoon.

Great food here, generous portions too. Chips were very nice and crispy. Friendly staff and food came incredibly quickly. Nice views of the waterfront. Would definitely recommend.
Seafood platter was substantial and scrummy, great tasting tartare sauce.

The place is situated right on the quay, next to the river. The menu is offering something for most tastes, the fish and chips were really fresh and tasty. A place to come back to.
