Quite average beach, sands were not good enough, some business along the beach, somehow noisy and run-down...

An awesome section of beach down towards the south eastern end of Miyako-jima, that has pretty much all you need to spend your day down the beach. The only reason i don't give it a rating of 5 as it is not the best beach for general swimming, but i think most people would be going here for the snorkeling anyway. It has a great setup with numerous small picnic tables, with parasol for a fee or without for free. The whole experience is really friendly with a couple of food vendor vans plus gear to rent such as snorkel, flippers, reef shoes etc. Definitely worth a visit!

We spent there 2 out of our 5 days in Miyakojima (the only beach we visited twice)..
a lot of coral, rich sea life with fishes and shells, excellent for snorkeling. The beach is equipped with parasol, seats, some basic food. Going to Miyakojima, this is a must!

This beach gave us the best place to snorkel. We can with our 2 year old daughter so we needed a place to snorkel that was not of a boat, Aragusuku was just perfect. So many fish, lots of coral, two places to sit and rent a parasol (with very friendly owners), food truck and snorkeling equipment plus a shower, all you want for a perfect day really .

According to my guide, this place is busy during the summer months. Good swimming and fishing. All the concession stands were idle in January and the beach has collected a lot of sea trash at this idle time of year.
