This is a small boutique hotel in the middle of a village - very quaint and lovely. They have a lovely swimming pool, spa was superb, and safaris are excellent (very good naturalists and staff for this).
Food is an issue. The breakfast is strictly okay and definitely needs to be improved. All other meals are to be paid for and with nothing around, this is the only option. Meals are very expensive, and not value for money because the taste and quality is not that great. This is the reason for one less star rating.
Hospitality and service is good in some aspects, and lacking in some. Just needs better training - the staff is as helpful as they can be.
The first room they gave us - the AC wouldn't work, and it was designed in a very stuffy, cramped up way. End of day 2 when they couldn't fix the AC they moved us - this new room (same price) was way better and bigger. This difference in room quality did not make sense. However, in this other room too, there were plumbing issues.
Overall, I recommend this hotel - it is very unique. It just needs a bit of tweaking in service, and food. The per night cost is fine; but the high price for food is not justified.
