This property is located on the Binsar Road and has a multistory apartment type of layout. The block we stayed in had 6 apartments in one block with 2 apartments on each floor. The rooms are clean, ours had a very loud color combination though. Rooms are equipped with a TV and a pedestal fan. We stayed in what is known as Family room, which basically was a room with a king sized bed, a table & chair and a small room adjacent to it with a single bed. The room had only one bathroom which was neat and clean. Bathroom had ample supply of hot and cold water. Hot water came in from the geyser inside the bathroom.

Our room had a balcony which was overlooking the Himalayan range at a distance and the trees close by. The room service was swift and the waiters were multi-skilled since they had to balance food trays as well as battle the monkeys that were omnipresent. The reception of the hotel was large and had a fairly large dining room adjacent to it. There was a spacious balcony in front of the dining area and a sit-out too. Next to the dining room is a recreation area with a table-tennis table.

The food preparation was just about alright although cleanliness of the utensils needs intense management intervention. Drinking glasses were greasy and tea cups had dark stains. Food presentation during the buffet was like a Grade B caterer. The staff was helpful, prompt but seemed to lack training in service.

From the hotel one can climb up the stairs to a Shiva temple called Rudreshwar, where Swami Vivekananda spent sometime in meditation. The view from this place is excellent and one feels at the top of the world. There is a "Sharda Ma math" which is a small place where they have bhajans at 6:30pm everyday. Place allows only ladies inside and men are expected to cool their heels outside. Down the road from the resort there is a buddhist monastery that is in quite a dilapidated condition but has people who are very helpful and welcome interested visitors and provide them with a tour of the place. Further down, where the entry road meets the main road, there is a very popular eatery called "Dolma Restaurant". I would advice you not to eat there since it reminded me of the "Makemytrip" ad about "Chi-can restaurant" and "Bow-wow". The mutton momos there were good though and we tried not to talk too much about the mutton part.

From the hotel, the Binsar Sanctuary is worth a visit. It is a journey of about half hour from the hotel. You need to pay to enter this place. They charge per person and also for the car. It is advisable to take a guide here. The drive from the entrance to the parking is also quite interesting. One can see how the forest changes from deciduous to evergreen. The trek from the parking to the "Zero point" was also very invigorating. It is amazing to notice the types of rocks, the birds and the bugs around. One has to be lucky to see animals though. Choose the timing carefully since beyond noon till evening, it probably does not make sense to go there.

The place has a lot of flies and that is a major irritant. In the evenings you get to see different types of flying insects, including cockroaches. So you need to keep your balcony door closed. Don't really know if this is season specific, but by the look of the hardware in the dining room, this seemed to be a common problem.

This place permits you to carry your own liquor. They can also get it for you although brands are limited.

If you have senior citizens accompanying you or people on wheelchairs, this place could be a bit of an issue since the access to the rooms is through a path that has a lot of stairs.

Overall, a decent place to be in since Binsar does not have too many hotels and one really needs to think before staying in the hotel inside the sanctuary.

A beautiful place, an excellent accommodation. about 7-8 kms outside city. Rooms are spacious. Staff is of good helping nature. Food is good, but less spicy. Just one thing,Room service is bit slow. Otherwise a very good option. Specially for family person.

This is a beautiful resort at an awesome location. The rooms are spacious and beautifully done with large balcony's to give you amazing view of the surrounding trees and hills. Inspite of the fully packed condition of the resort, the service was decent and appreciable. The staff is very polite and above all, manager Mr. Kuldeep Joshi is a nice person who has been taking care of the resort very well. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing getaway....
