Reviewed 4 December 2008

Mount Abu is a must place place to visit for a traveller. It's 28 kms from Abu Road Station which is connected to delhi by Rajdhani express. Its a proffling hill place away from the chores of a city. Dilwara Temples, nakki lake & sunset point are a must visit over there.

“An Oasis in the Desert”
Reviewed 3 December 2008

A place to be experienced on your own. No review can do full justice to the aura of Mount Abu which is indeed an oasis in the desert. Dilwara Temple, Nakhi Lake, Eagles Nest - you have to be there to savour them all.

“a good & cool place for 2 days”
Reviewed 30 November 2008

Last weekend I visited Mount Abu. A good place to visit. You can take a bike on rent to visit hill areas. The places include Gurushikhar, Brahma Kumari vishwa Vidyalaya, toad rock, Nakki Lake and sunset point. From Gurushikhar you can see whole lot of rajasthan from top of the hill. make sure that you take Pulsar or any other 150 + cc bike, which are available on rent to visit there and not ordinary 100 cc bike. If you plan to visit by Car or Bus, then its a diffrerent option. However for a couple or friends you should prefer a bike. When you visit Brahma Kumari Vishwa Vidyalaya, you can have divine words from Gurus therein. Its not a religion specific, so you can enjoy and learn something from this place. From Toad rock you can have a look at whole of the Mount Abu from a significant height. To reach there you will have to take 100 big stairs. Probably the Government should take better care of its monuments and also the path thereto. About nakki Lake it is said that it is the natural lake on the highest altitude. You can enjoy boating and fooding at this place. it is believed that Nakki lake has been digged by God through their nails. Sunset point has a very good view of sunset, however the crowd at times can be very cheap and rustic. Overall its a very good place to visit for 2 days.

“A Beautiful Place Mount Abu”
Reviewed 26 November 2008

Mount Abu is a magnificent place to visit. This is the place away from the hustle-bustle of city life, a peaceful city in the natural surroundings. One must visit this place at least once in life time. My idea to see this city is that firstly, we have to go by the trip package (single day) around the city, this will give the rough image about all the important places. Then we can choose the best place & visit them individually to have the full enjoyment. Few best places we found were Dilwara Temple, Brahma Kumaris Asharam, Guru Shikhar & above all, in the evening, boating & sitting at sides of ‘Nakki’ lake will give a different type of experience; giving feed to fishes in the lake will be more enjoyable.
For shopping & gifts, we find the best place is at ‘CHACHA MUSEUM’, because it has lot of varieties & at very good rates. The food, eatables all are god everywhere with the approximate same rates.
My overall experience of this city is very good, I wish that I can visit this city ever year to have refreshment or I can say to charge myself.

“Beautiful Hill Station”
Reviewed 16 November 2008

We originally planned for Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Jodhour-Delhi-back trip and one Rajasthan tourist office in Jaisalmer advised us to include Mount Abu in our tour. We got down the Jaisalmer-Jodhpur night train at Raika Bagh Rly station at around 5 AM which is a couple of hours befor the destination Jodhpur- and took state transport bus journey of around 4 hours to Abu Road and from there another bus to Mt Abu. It is really wonderful place with lot of tourist attractions, lake, sunset points, the famous Delwara Temples- one must see them atleast once in lifetime, and above all- excellent weather (we were there in mid march). Hotels are very reasonable and neat, excellent Gujrathi, Rajasthani food, and for a veggie, it is truely an excellent place to dine. Returned to Abu Road after 2 days trip in the evening and several night trains are avl. We took Ashram Exp to reach ND early next morning. I recommend Mount Abu for all kinds of tourists.
