Visited this place as part of my Kerala trip. While I was entering this place I felt so so amazing. Its surrounded by lush greens, above ground cottages gives a perfect feel and the backwater takes you heart away. Cottages are surrounded by trees, giving it a jungle cottage kind of a feel. BUT.... I wish theses were only things that we expect while on vacation. Like the other KTDC resort I visited at Kovallam, the state of this resort was inline with that "Typical Govt. Propoerty". The thing is.. being a Govt. Property they get to choose the best location, but maintenance & services follows the same attitude, "We don't care". Cottage although was very spacious, but lacked basic cleaning, specially by a "RESORT" standard. Food was above average though, but I expected more. Staff has no interest in giving you any sort of assistance. This property has so much potential and has so much more it can offer. But presently it is not. So, if you are travelling on a romantic ride you have an option to pass it. But if you are travelling with friends on a adventure trip, surely you should go for it.More
