Property exudes charm and has a great view overlooking the mighty Vembanad Lake. However, most of the property requires an urgent maintenance cum upgrade. Food was a big let down , not much local cuisine to choose from and prices were exorbitantly high and lacked any distinct taste. Breakfast Buffet too was pretty average. Room was comfortable and the property is a nice place to laze around.. Cultural activities during the evenings were a Mesmerizing affair amidst the superb ambiance notwithstanding the mosquito bites .. Service levels were good . One can catch a houseboat right at the resort's boundary.. Plenty of other activities available mostly on a chargeable basis. This property has a lot of potential and very well located , management should look at the areas of improvement and feedbacks.

Room tip: All rooms overlook the lake or the lagoon.

Dear Guest
Thank you for the feedback and choosing to stay in the destination.
As one is aware destination tourism re-opened as soon as covid19 cases and TPR rates came down and restrictions were lifted for travel.
As decision makers
We are well aware of the challenges of running a property post lock down.
We depend on cash flow to manage the different areas that need urgent attention. The bucket list is long.
Currently the team is focused in areas that need attention and this will continue till every aspect of the product is covered.

Being a wedding planner, and having done many weddings at the Zuri Kumarakom, I had no doubts in my mind that I was going to have a great weekend. But then, how relaxed and rejuvenated I felt after staying there, was what i didn't expect. The wonderful greenery, the calmness of the backwaters and the luxury of the amenities was quite pampering. The polite and helpful staff and of course the amazing food had be absolutely floored. Me, my husband and kids had a wonderful experience and still can't stop talking about it. Thank you Zuri for your top notch excellent hospitality.

Room tip: The pool villas are the best

Horrible hotel , termite in the rooms, very rude staff...specially at the restaurant...very bad experience...we were a family with seniors and a child, and had the worst experience, acs leaking, roofs of the lobby leaking as it rained heavily very low infrastraucture, horrible food, would never stay there again...during these pandemic times, we cannot afford to stay in rooms with TERMITES, NOT AT ALL SAFE TO STAY. we stayed at zuri, thinking we will get high standards, but it was vice versa. Its not even a 1 star property

Dear Guest,
We faced a terrible storm and heavy downpour, a day when the weatherman predicted light drizzle.
We all are responsible for this change in weather pattern and global warming and the future holds on sustainability and responsible tourism.
The global pandemic hit the tourism industry and we resumed operations based on government directives.
First we have carried out extensive clearing of the property grounds and further we have initiated repair and maintenance work on property depending on labor available and cash flow management. This will be ongoing and it is visible in plain sight. We wish to execute all works in a systematic phased manner with a timeline set by our technical team.
Extensive wood work on property is being replaced and pest treatments is ongoing.
As a fellow hotelier and in the trade i am sure you too have faced these challenges.

My co-sister and I had been planning a getaway for a long time. The plan never materialized because of covid and other unforeseen issues. After a lot of planning, we finally decided to spend two nights at The Zuri, Kumarakom. We stayed one night each at both the villas - the lagoon view villa and the presidential pool villa. We had a fabulous time at the resort. The rooms were neat and spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The chef at the Lime Tree restaurant and the staff at the TrunkCall Bar were happy to accommodate all our food requests and specifications. We tried a couple of activities, and went on long walks during sunset too. The highlight of our staycation was practicing yoga early in the morning at The Body Temple.

If you are looking for a resort in Kerala for staycation, add The Zuri, Kumarakom to your list :)
