“It certainly is where the gods unwind!”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

So quiet and after the hustle and bustle of Fort Kochi a beautiful place to have some real relaxation for a few days before we moved on. The grounds are immaculately kept and a real pleasure to wander through. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the layout was well thought through. The food was excellent in all the restaurants we ate in, we did stay towards the end of their season which was perfect for us as it was so quiet but it meant that we had several staff attending to our every need which could be quite humerous at times as communication wasn't always clear between staff and sometimes we had several servings of something or none at all! Not that we minded because everyone we met were so polite and friendly it just made a discussion point over breakfast/dinner. The pool area was clean and tranquil, again with you every need attended to. I would strongly recommend booking a spa treatment or two as a treat, a little pricey but well worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the treatment called 'Nirvana' which left me floating on air for the rest of the day. Overall if you want peace and quiet in beautiful grounds I would recommend a stay here!

Organized a 5 day long office conference at this property. It is a beautiful property showcasing serene landscape with the rooms blended into the landscape. It is one of the best places to visit if your seeking relaxation and peaceful atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The food is awesome. One thing which is often not seen on other properties is that the General Manager is very proactive and takes keen interest in day to day activities happening on the property. Will definitely advice this property for couples and families for a enjoyable holiday.

We spent three nights here during March whilst on a tour of Kerala. Having stayed at the Coconut Lagoon and Poovar Island previously and not liking either of these we settled on the Zuri. This was a good choice as we had a wonderful stay. The resort was peaceful so if you are looking for action this is not the place to go but if you want a relaxed & friendly atmosphere & some excellent food then book this hotel!

We ate in the fish restaurant one night which we loved (be warned it is a little on the expensive side but well worth it). We also had some treatments in the spa which again I would highly recommend, although you should book in advance to ensure they can fit you in.

I would not hesitate to return to the Zuri again on any future trip to Kerala. When asked by the Manager on our departure if we had enjoyed our stay and if there was anything they could improve on, I actually couldn't think of one thing I hadn't been totally satisfied with!

Splurged for our 2 night stay and booked the Presidential Pool Villa.

THE ROOM:- The decor and the design of the Villa is great. Bathroom has an option of a tub, shower stall and an open shower with some great plants in a corner. One more sizeable bathroom is near the entrance which makes it convinient if one has kids as the living area can be cordon off with a sliding door as a partition between the living room and the bed room. It's a very thoughtful concept.

THE PRIVATE POOL - Is a significant 12 ft X 20 ft and 4 ft deep. Clean, with a 4 jets and a seating around to relax. The absolute amazing part is that the pool view is the expanse of the lake. It's simply beautiful. The only downside like someone has mentioned is the frequency of the boats that pass by from pretty close. We weren't really bothered by it as we didn't find people trying to peer. There is no barrier around the pool,it is only shrubs, palms and plants that are flanked around for privacy. This somehow is accessible to others as there is small garden patch on either side and people can walk in. We had a couple who did but quickly retracted when they saw us in the pool. So its not really PRIVATE.

THE PROPERTY- Expansive and beautifully landscaped. Automatically relaxes as you enter.

FOOD - Is a plenty for the breakfast buffet with some good south indian variety. Delicious and service perfect.

ACTIVITIES- Paddle boats and cycles available and in good condition. The lagoon which is a part of the property is lovely. Am sure the cottages facing the lagoon are equally lovely.

SPA- Unfortunately didn't get time to experience the spa but it is one of the biggest they say and relaxing just as you walk in.

SERVICE- We encountered some tropical harmless creatures in our room but our concerns were looked after timely and efficiently.

There is a lot around and one isn't stuck as you can drive out and go the market.
The Zuri is envigorating!! If you can afford it do opt for the Presidential Pool Villas.

We would definitely return.

we had booked 5 deluxe rooms and 1 pool villa for our stay of 3nights and 4 days. believe me it was so refreshing, right from arrival to check-in to the room to the first wow of the resort when we saw, the food, the staff, evening entertainment. I mean it was totally awesome experience for us. for my daughter she had a ball of a time, with huge lawns, boating & kidszone. she loved.
The best room of the trip the pool villa, can't say much...u got to stay here to know more.
