Relaxing place

It's a good place if you want to just relax. Staff is very friendly. Good for families. Big property. Kids had a good time. Boat ride was free, food was good. There was flute program arranged on Saturday evening which was apt the place and serenity.

Amazing property

Ideal place for a get away. Very polite staff and excellent food and I must say the place is well maintained and clean. The property as such is very good and this is 5th time am staying in the same place. They give us amazing deals too for regular people.

Destination Wedding Reception in May 2022

After a hectic US Wedding of our elder son, we decided to have the India Reception at Backwater Ripples. Planning a tentative (Covid restrictions unknown) wedding reception from thousands of miles away is not for the faint hearted, especially when the tourism and hospitality industry was reeling from the Covid clampdown. We blocked the Hall and about 20 rooms in advance with a token amount. We did not have a local Event Coordinator as the Hotel Management helped with the contact details for Decor, DJ, Bartender, Hairdresser, etc. We interfaced with these people over WhatsApp / phone. Since the hotel is still in the process of getting a bar license, we had to apply for a one-day license. The hotel management rose to the occasion and put a staff member to do the legwork and we could do the online part in coordination with this person. The function was a riot with the over 150 guests from India and 3 continents having a blast. Our 2 day stay was perfect as 'Customer Care ' is ingrained in the DNA of all the staff members at Backwater Ripples. From the top brass of Backwater Ripples to the cutting edge of delivery, the staff needs a standing ovation for the flawless execution of the event. They went over and beyond their call of duty to look after us. The food at the Resort is the piece de resistance of this resort..the complimentary buffet breakfast was mouth watering... the younger crowd had tons of activities in the resort itself, so surprisingly they hardly ventured out. Kudos to Team Backwater Ripples... and a heartfelt thank you to all the the staff members for your care and concern. From Joseph Paul and Annie Paul.

Destination wedding

The best place for a destination wedding in Kerala. Diverse venues for different functions !! I had my daughter's three day function - Mehendi, Dakshina, Sangeeth and wedding in the resortThe staff were wonderful attending to all the requirements of the guests and the event manager. Variety of Buffets including Chat , cocktails etc for the functions. Sadhya prepared by Back water Ripples was tasty and loved by the guests.
Beautiful views as background for the wedding and other functions...

Room tip: All type of rooms have good view and close proximity to the restaurant. Secluded villas with its own yard is very romantic

Wedding celebration

We had conducted the wedding celebration of my daughter at Backwater Ripples during 2, June to 5, June and just wanted to record my heartfelt appreciation to the people who are the strength behind this magnificent and unique property. We take our hats off to the Management for keeping the staff so motivated and passionate about their job.We had taken all the rooms at the property on a full buy-out model and from the first day onwards we felt we were in a different world. This function was the most important event in our life and BWR ensured that all the different functions went on without a hitch. The food provided in the restaurant and for the various buffets were delicious and all of us craved for more servings of the dishes. (forgot about cholesterol and diabetes for a few days). The Kerala Sadya served on the wedding day was also superb.
The scenic beauty of the property added to the enchantment. We were mesmerized by the beautiful landscape and the myriads of colours displayed over the lake during times of sunrise or sunsets.
We also want to talk about the quality of the rooms and amenities provided in the rooms. They are world class. The bedsheets, linen and towels provided in the rooms are so fresh, fluffy and clean. Please keep it up.
We all want to thank BWR for making our stay memorable and we will always keep the days we spent here in as one the best times we all had.
