Beautiful grounds. Breathtaking! The infinity pool was very pretty at night.
More support in restaurant needed. Had a room with a private pool. Was spectacular !
Non Indian food was average at best. Breakfast was good. Nice variety.

We visited kumarakom lake resort for our anniversary celebration. Ambiance was very good and staffs are very friendly. Service was awesome. Special shoutout to Kavi photographer and Abhijith front desk who made sure everything was fine

We went in the month of May 2022, the resort is great - special mention for prashanth, Kavi and also mathew from the events team.
They made are trip very successful and delightful - it’s a must visit place.
Prashanth took very good care of us in the F & B side, and left no stone unturned to get what we wanted.

This was our 3rd visit. 3 nights at the resort and 1 night on the houseboat.
We are attracted to KLR for the meandering pool (all 3 visits we selected meandering pool villa), Johney's special touch in curating every meal making sure we get to eat good variety of excellent Kerala vegetarian food and the backwater cruise in your Houseboat. Their houseboats are spacious clean and crew superb. If you like a slow boat to nowhere in luxury their houseboat is really worth it. The cleanliness and manicuring of the lawns, bushes, trees is impeccable.
This time we were EXTREMELY disappointed. We had two rooms. The Air-conditioning in #144 was as good as non-functional. Thermostat set at 10C felt like 30C. Pedal fan was the solution offered by Sanjay Varma (GM). Another room we had #143 it was slightly better it felt like 28C. Two other groups we talked to also complained about air-conditioning in several rooms they had including one Presidential villa.
Arun and Sanjay Varma gave EXCUSES of setting sun in #144, lake facing, power tripping etc. BUT had no answers when confronted that this is not a new situation for which room's air-conditioning cannot be designed for to meet the challenges.
When asked about poor air-conditioning in #143 ... they had no answer.
We spent more time outside our room ... near infinity pool, meandering pool and pool pavillion as the lake breeze was way better than the heat in the room. BUT at nights it was just fans.
Culture comes from the top. Honestly acknowledge the problem of the air-conditioning in the resort and replace it ASAP.
Rating of TERRIBLE is due to FAILED air-conditioning system.

'Probably the only paradise on earth' is not an exaggeration. There is so much that will be etched in our memories forever. Coconut and Mango ladden trees, multi-hued sunset from the lawn, spotting double rainbows during the complimentary evening cruise, coconut water so fresh and sweet it felt like they had mixed sugar it (only that they hadn't ), playing and swimming in the meandering pool which had an entrance from our room, birds along with us in the lawn, gentle breeze caressing our faces in the yoga area . And to top it all the very courteous staff - ever smiling and helpful Ashwini, Kavi with his super exceptional photography skills and Bismi always ready to offer us food as if we were guests in her house. You guys have set a very high benchmark in hospitality.
