We spent 3 nights in this beautiful resort hotel on the Backwaters in Kerala. The location on Lake Venmenadu is very beautiful and the accommodation, food, facilities and staff could not be better. Another bonus is that it is extremely Eco friendly

We were met by a boat to take us to the resort so it was a great way to arrive there.
The accommodation was in individual cottages which were well appointed. The bathroom was semi outdoor which was a bit odd when watching bats and squirrels in the nearby trees whilst doing what you were doing. There are quite a lot of bats in this area so if you are chiroptophobic this is not the place for you!!
There is a sunset cruise which is good, cooking demos, a delightful butterfly garden and early morning yoga overlooking the lake, all of which are complimentary. The pool was a good size.
The food was excellent, depending on occupancy there was either a buffet or a la carte. The seafood restaurant was outstanding, well done to the chef and also Joseph who served us.
Service in the main restaurant was especially good, thank you to Asha and Daisy in particular.
The drinks operation could improve however, it took 30 mins to make a mojito, they had no kingfisher beer for all of the stay and the prices of the mocktails matched the cocktails which seemed odd. Had to keep signing into the WiFi repeatedly too.
That said we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

What a fantastic resort, arrived by houseboat that we had spent the night on, if you get the chance this is a must do while in this area.
The grounds are so calming and the greeting was warm and sincere, the pool is great, not cold but refreshing, the food was lovely I chose from the menu but a buffet is available, the staff were fantastic, the lady waitresses were in traditional Indian dress and were the best staff we encountered on our whole trip to India. If you want to relax this is a must visit complex.

Beginning with the boat ride to get to the hotel to the wonderful massage services, yoga and meditation, endless food options, friendly and attentive staff, large rooms and houseboat ride, there is nothing bad to say about this place. It was nothing but fantastic and highly recommended!
